Indeed, as far as I'm concerned none if it matters. Just like Gallia is here and so many other things were done here as well. Do we need to begin a long list of things that were added in Discovery, and each one of them could be put into doubt, from Nomads' telepathy to existence of Phantoms, from "democratic Rheinland" to entire house of Gallia, from Harvesters and AI characters to Coalition in Sirius... The list can go on and on. Each one could be torn apart if desired to find justifications for a fiction, because as far as I see some have a difficulty making a difference between having an explanation given and having a justification. Anything that was not in vanilla could be viewed as inconsistency, all it needs is just a right angle to look at, a perspective of doubt. What's done is done. And Discovery simply moves on following it's own path, all we can do is perhaps guide it a bit, but just a little and certainly cannot turn it around. It would be a waste of time to gnarl on those bones till they are polished into dust.
