Modern Warfare 2 Fails, hard

Ok, I bought this game along with millions of gamers with massive anticipation of having an epic campaign, and great fun online.

The campaign was good, but not great. It had its story flaws, but the action was always there, but suffered the problems same as Transformers 2. Lots of action, but a lacklustre story.

Now the multiplayer, ho boy. It is beyond repair at this stage since I believe Infinity ward was smoking every narcotic they could find in the design room. Sure, there are good weapons, fun perks and ok maps. But what is the point when the foundation, known as the game engine is badly flawed.

These flaws may be small, but a gear linkage in a car is small, and if that goes, the car goes. Same as glitches in a multiplayer game. It ruins the fun. There are too many glitches. Even with the latest patch, I've seen videos and been in games where people went into an AC-130, and used the main cannon like a damn chain gun. Murdering all life as I knew it.

Not only that, but connecting to games and the latency involved is biblically annoying. Very high ping, on average everyone, yes everyone gets a ping above 200 ms!! In a FPS, that is death on a very explosive stick or faeces.

Another thing that annoys the hell out of me is Infinity Ward's foolish attempts to make the game rigid, by that, you can't alter or mod it. Sure, for game security that is good, but there is a damn good amount of talent in the Internet that can improve the game! Look at Valve with Team Fortress 2, they take the mods on board and tweak them and use them on official playlists.

This has been a short rant by Fletcher, I can go on, and on, and ooooooon! But I'll spare you my anger.

I'm going back to Call of Duty 4, its simpler and I love my RPG.
