Quote:First off Tenna, Northern Leeds is controlled by the Kusari. Second, the Kusari semi-lawfuls are just working by the same rules as the Bretonian semi-lawfuls I guess.
Guess that depends on which way you view north =P
You get my point though.
And, pardon, but I cant remember the last time I saw a bretonian privateer in honshu, or even new tokyo.
Quote:I think I'm going to actually agree partially with each of you. For Cambridge at least, the Hogosha don't have any allies operating from there, so it seems a bit of a stretch. However, NL, Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds, and Dublin seem well into a operational stretch.
And what allies might they have in those systems? The junkers sure as hell arent going to let hogs use their bases, the only other unlawful group around new london is the mollies, and I'm fair sure that they dont have much love for kusari, or the hogosha in particular.
Dublin is about as far out of the hogosha ZOI as you can get. Manchester is sketchy, since you really have to go through a bit of hostile space to get there. I can see newcastle or edinburgh, as both have gaian bases, but the other systems of bretonia should not have hogosha poking around.
Quote:I absolutly agree with that from a gameplay standpoint, I would go as far as to say that New London would be hard to operate in as well. From an rp perspective, the Corsairs have Cadiz in O-5 to work from.
And to get to cadiz, you have to pass through a handful of systems classified as hostile territory, where you have no friends to help you out, and no friendly bases to dock at. That's about as bad as corsairs going through new york so they can hang out in kusari.
Quote:Dublin also holds a lot of interest, due to Samura and Kishiro activity.
That's a joke if I've ever heard one. Please, tell me you're joking? I cant find any RP justification for a -transport-, much less a mining ship, travelling through an entire house worth of hostiles so that they can mine gold in some backwater system, a system which has no friendlies whatsoever.
I've never liked the fact that Ivan keeps taking his Kishiro down there to try and mine gold to bring back to kusari, just seems completely out of character to me.
Quote:I guess all I have to point to here in terms of ZOI is the contradiction between what some people see as an unacceptable ZOI for the Hogosha, while those same people support as acceptable a similar ZOI in hostile space for the QCP.
I've got the same view on the QCP. They shouldnt be operating past Kyushu, and even working there is a big stretch, due to having to pass all of the Kusari forces throughout the taus just to get there.
Quote:I'd have to ask whether or not Hogosha's main purpose is as their name suggests "guardians" or "protectors" of Kusari and its people. Not attackers supporting an invasion. They'd be back home fighting the QCP and generally keeping Kusarians safe, I imagine. There interests would primarily be back home in Kusari, with smuggling and the unawful groups. I don't really see them bridging the Taus much, if at all - they're mainly Sigma-based, what with the artifact trade.
