You are telling me that I am worse than the Corsairs who say "3mordai" to me when I'm taking food to Crete.

You are telling me that I am worse than the Vigilantes who say "upirate I keel u" and gang me 6 to 1 literally five meters from Alcatraz.

You are telling me that my trader, who let out about six pages of text last night rather than just pay and be on my merry way, and was polite even to pirates most would dismiss as "lolwuts", and flies a ship significantly smaller than what I could be flying, is worse than the silent F1ing diamond-niobium runners in Advanced Trains of 4.84.

Do you realize what you just said there?

I'm surprised people haven't completely exploded on you for saying that.

I'm not going to retaliate. I'm just going to make sure you know what you just told me right there.

What I am saying is that taking from personal experience, if I was to pick one random person within all of the no-restriction, exclusive ( or semi-exclusive) factions it is more likely that he will roleplay worse than a random person picked from the mobs of Corsair or Vigilante IDed players.

I don't know what you are on about the traders, but if you want me to apply the logic again, I will, it still fits. Independent Trader and Smuggler IDed players demonstrate, as a whole, a lesser quality of roleplay than corporation, Zoner or Junker IDed players.

The Point of that Discussion is that not only the Coalition roleplays fine. The Keepers do, the Wilde does, the Phantoms do and the Terrorists do aswell, yet they all get flamed at, recieve Complaints and most of the Threads about them end up in Rage and Joe's old rusty Lock.

I created this Thread, because I was curious why that happens all the Time. Because from my Point of View I never see any of those mentioned above behaving bad or out of Roleplay or abusing their IDs. And I am close to my 800th Hour of Freelancer Playtime, which is -I need to say that- 100% Discovery and not from older Servers or Singleplayer.

I am not the only Person who thinks like that. Of course the Members of the Factions above do, but also a lot of Members like Zelty think the same as I do.

I think that the point that many people are trying to raise is exactly the opposite, that people in said factions, as a whole, do not roleplay. Points which are dismissed in a way that yells out superiority complexes, in my eyes.

Coalition roleplays fine. The only situation that came out as a bit powergaming-ish was the Barrier Gate bombing.

Keepers are a mixed bag. I've seen many establishing connections and having long "chats" with people but I've also seen a couple of "***DARKNESS!*** *pew pew pew*" situations.

Phantoms are ... Don't get me started on the Phantoms.

Wilde is a bit of a blind spot in my knowledge. I haven't seen one since my early days in the server, blasting through Sigma 13, wiping the smiles off the BHG BCs and pirates that camped the system.

Terrorist IDed people make me angry, really. I've seen many people rise from Pirate ID to Terrorist ID and the change in the mentality that came with it. "Olol, I can blow whatever I want up" about sums it up. Some are good roleplayers, some make me want to gouge my eyes out with a spoon.

PS: 900 hours of Freelancer here. ~800 must be Discovery, the rest must be NiMa and SP. Seems the Discoverse is larger than we think, hrm?
