Thank you for the info. As you know, those are pilots on trial, and due to our long term attempts to better the population of our side in the Taus, we recruit without a very high standard. That's no excuse for him, however, and unless he improves or accounts for his behavior properly, he'll probably end up as a washout.
But the main goal is to make a good player out of everyone - not all of us were geniuses when we started out, including yours truly.
