well it might be possible, but it wont be same ship. It would be something like this:

You type some command like /gimmeshipnow <cost>;
Your trade partner will get msg "<PName> wants to buy your ship for <cost> credits. Respond with /sell or /notsell";
He types /sell;
At that moment server accesses your character and rewrites your ship with ship he has and his character gets starflier or something.
You both get disconected for changes to take effect. Possibly respawn on last base, or something in that spirit.

Admins can change players ships so necessary commands are already implemented
