I'd like to see less emotional "I want this" posts made on a whim, and more "well I've thought about the following problem and came up with a solution, and here's how I see it affecting not just the directly changed, but also everyone they interact with, here's some of the possible side-effects/abuses I've thought of and ways to address them, anyone see anything I missed or have comments/suggestions?"
Before any proposal is implemented, that process needs to be completed anyway, if you just say "we should do this" the best you're going to do is inspire someone to start thinking about how it'll fit. We're not telepathic (thank god), even devs can't figure out your intricate thought process when all you say is "nerf bombers". You could have a perfectly legitimate reason for thinking so, backed up by stacks of evidence, and have developed a precise way to nerf bombers such that it addresses the issue you've identified without causing worse problems, but if you don't say it, it looks exactly like when some random lolcap gets blown up and goes "nerf bombers".
Less is not more when it comes to asking for features/changes. If you, the person so affected that you made a new thread/post, cannot bring yourself to put some thought into your suggestion, then why should anyone else do that for you?
