*Bret slowly walks alone on the bridge....slowly moving his hands across the consoles of what has been his home for almost half a year...
Bret:.....Captain's Log.....May 10th.....Days in space....160......This will be my final log as Captain of the Maverick.IV....as I am now being hunted by the Liberty Forces for defending the one I love......I am handing over complete control this ship back to its original owners...Jenson and Ilo.....I have also asked Jenson to take my place among the Junker Congress...For I know if I stay among them...Then they themselves would become targets for housing a fugitive.......I do not regret for what I have done..or what I may do....What I do know that I will be taking the V now as my new home.....I'll be heading to Edinburgh...and look up the Gaian group known as the NLH....
*Bret heads to the main doors leading from the bridge....and turns around.....looking for the last time....at was once a place of great times...and good memories....*
Bret:....I know that they hate those who target ones who disturb nature....as I myself....was a product of those who willed to alter nature......I am glad to have met all I have so far....and wish that they may lead safe lives....without my involvement.....
*Bret takes the elevator down to the docking bay.....and walks to the shuttle parked in the bay....*
Bret:...I am leaving behind a crew in which I not only come to learn from...but have come to respect and care for.....I do hope that we may meet again....
*Bret closes the door to the shuttle and disembarks toward the Maverivk.V parked alongside the IV.......He looks back one last time....toward the rusting hull of his former home....
