The Duke sighed calm once more. Sophia had taken the flask of scotch and tipped the rest of contents of his glass back into it. He had frowned but gave no protest.
The Marquess poured everyone some more tea.
Sophia sat once more glaring at both the oldest males in thier family she crossed her arms. Her voice was stern and scolding, "Now when were you going to inform me of your health Grandfather. No father you are no excluded in this you obviously knew. I am not Lafiel who needs protection from such things I am your youngest and your strongest daughter and I would appreciate it if you did not neglect such important facts."
Both Men sighed in unison the Duke nodded but the Marquess went on the offensive, " Sophia do not speak so condescendingly of your sister. Have no ill will for her." Sophia retorted, "I have no ill for her father. I love her truly like the stars for it is like the stars we shall be unable to die. What I said is she is innocent and needs looking after ... needs nurturing and protecting for she can't see bad things or deliver the hard hits that are sometimes needed, to which I will always be there to aid her. What I am getting at is I am not like her you need not hide this sort of thing from me and I do not appreciate it."
