Name: Nathan John O'Canna Age: 29 Gender: Male Origin: Fort Bush, New York Citizenship: Libertonian Biography: Nathan was born on Fort Bush in New York, 29 years ago. His mother Katrina, a Rheinland woman who long since became a legal citizen of Liberty. She worked for the department of homeland security, her job, mainly a desk job, filing the important papers, needless to say without her, the office would have crumbled a long time ago, that 30 years ago, she met a man on planet Curacao located in Cortez.
She had just received her first vacation leave and was excited to finally get an all expenses paid vacation to Curacao for her working well at her job. That is where she met Nathan's father, a Bretonian man named Joseph (Joe) O'Canna. He himself was a simple tradesman who saught out his first vacation as well on Curacao. Katrina shortly found out that he wasn't exactly a "simple" tradesman. The man had a fortune. He owned his own shipping companies within Bretonia, though he hid his identity as well as his wealth to the public. He didn't want to become a target for any assassination attempts for as long as he could keep it all a secret. On a whim, the two got married on Curacao during their vacation time.
Katrina's vacation time had soon come to an end and she had to return to Liberty to continue working at her job on Fort Bush. She was torn to have to leave her new-found love and husband, but he promised her that he would come soon to Liberty to share their lives together. Little did he know, Katrina wasn't traveling alone to Liberty. Nathan was her travel partner, though unborn, he was soon to be expected as she found out when she arrived in Liberty.
Having no idea how to get a hold of her husband, she kept working and waited for him to leave her a message, or just show up. After 9 months, Nathan was born. With no sign of his father anywhere. Katrina continued to work at her station on Fort Bush. Often taking Nathan with her to work. Every day she waited for the father of Nathan to arrive.
While growing up, Nathan didn't have any interest in games, or sports. He seemed to challenge any of his teachers in school, correcting them on a regular basis. He was quick witted and soon advanced through his grades faster then his friends did. Naturally he was picked on for being a so called "nerd", but he did not let that stop him. He knew he would complete school before them and have his adult life in front of him before any of them did. Thinking he would be more successful then any of them was his aspiration.
He had never met his father. His mother took care of him until he was twelve years old. That's when she retired from her position on Fort Bush at the age of 36 due to cancer complications. By now, Nathan had finished High school, and was making his way through Business School. Doing his best to finish as soon as he could in order to track down his father and to support his mother while helping her fight through her illness. With no luck finding his father, Nathan pressed on to Graduation. Finishing in the top five of his class of 15,000 students at the age of 16. His mother survived her illness and continued to be a stay at home mother, since Nathan refused to allow her to work any longer. He planned to take care of her 'til he could no longer.
At Nathan's graduation, a man came up to him as he walked down the isle back to his seat after receiving his diploma. Staring him in the eye, the man could not help but smile. A tear rolled down his cheek and landed on the collar of his black suit. The gentleman looked older, like he'd been through a lot in his life. He stretched out his hand to Nathan and announced himself as Joe O'Canna, his father. Nathan was awestruck when his father finally appeared after 16 years, many of which him and his mother spent searching for him. The man new of his son for if one is highly influential, one can find out anything. He was kept up to date on how Katrina was doing and of course his son Nathan.
His mother Katrina didn't see Joe walk up to Nathan for the crowd of people was too many to see one person specifically. She was quickly surprised to see Nathan next to her. With his gown half way off, because he had ran across the room. He quickly pulled her to the hallway where his father stood and introduced them to each other. She cried and jumped into Joe's arms and asked where he had been. Joe's only excuse was that he ran into trouble and was doing the best he could to not bring the trouble to her or his son. He solved the issue and retired from the company he once ran.
Returning back to Fort Bush where they lived. Joe did not see this station as a home for him and his family, so they relocated to Planet Manhattan where a lot of Nathan's and Katrina's questions had been answered. Nathan found out that his father ran and owned Border World's Exports for several decades in Bretonia. He found that interesting, because Nathan wanted to become a highly influential person himself throughout all of Sirus. Because of his mother's already sterling reputation in Liberty, His fathers in Bretonia and his own for his intelligence, Nathan was off to a very successful career.
He spent several years taking small desk jobs to get his foot in the door in several companies. Not satisfied, he moved on to the next. Working in Fort Bush and Newark Station for several years. Sealing many deals, proposing new ones, bringing much needed profit into Liberty and ensuring the rest of Sirius was in contact at all times.
Now, he stands here hoping to set his foot in the door of Universal Shipping Incorporated. With much experience behind his back, he looks to succeed as his father did, one step at a time.
