Airsoft player here..well, formerly. I don't have a team to roll with nowdays.
When I was in the service, me and another NCO decided to start an airsoft team in Ft Riley, KS. It was always just about fun at it's core, but we did a lot of MOUT and CQC training that translated into real-life combat skills. We ended up getting around 15 active members set up into 4 unique teams, (2 Assaults, 1 ScoutSniper, 1 command sqaud.) as well as command sponsorship, sponsorship from EVIKE.COM (They gave us 20 GBB M4s.) Camelbak, ESS Eye protections, and even had the head honcho from Lionclaws come out and check us out. (The dude turned out to be a screwhead though, and got butthurt when we told him that the command couldn't let him have total control over a military training area).
We were about the most loved and hated team in Kansas. People loved us because we weren't a bunch of elitist pricks, and we used our combat knowledge to go and spend time training with the civillian teams that wanted to learn a thing or two, we held awesome barbecues, and helped get an airsoft store opened up in Manhattan (Along with people from KSU). People hated us because..well..people liked us. There was one team I remember, that held the reputation as the best team in the midwest, and were jerks about it too. When they lost their crown, they were livid..mainly because people hated them.
Anyways..good times. I still have my kit, ready to go at a moments notice.
ICS Anniversary Edition M4. Folding Crane Stock, Rail system, No front sight post to accommodate a low rider CCO (Red Dot) and a foregrin.
Crosman C-11 Co2 pistol. (This one I love. a 35 dollar pistol that runs on magazines, and fires at about 350 fps.)
I LOVE AIRSOFT
