[color=#FFFFFF]Bonjour
Sacre Bleu what a day yesterday. Well here is my report.
I undocked to find Michal.Loup at Remoulins station just holding the front line you know in languedoc.
Well. He looked like was doing something important, so I stuck around and we made small talk to pass the duty time.
First we encountered a junker. He was carrying military vehicles to our planet. I was relatively shocked and well.. we need that equipment so myself and colonel Loup escorted him through. We encountered a second one.
We then went back to Remoulins. Low and behold an IDF transport vessel comming from our space carrying Neon. He said it was designated for a royal base. Now you know as well as I do that Neon is very important in the production of lazers. We cant really allow people to take supplies from our space to supply the royals.
We spoke to the trader for a while. He didn't say much but he did everything we asked.
I wanted him to turn around to sell the neon to whoever sold it to him however Loup suggested we escort him to Macon. He agreed.
When we set off it was not long after that two IDF fighters appeared on scanners. They hit me with a cruise disruptor and I fell behind. They were firing cruise disruptors at Loup as well. Well finnally I caught up and the trader was thrusting for his life's worth. We asked him a few times to stop and he didn't. The IDF fighters who had arrived were also accusing us of wanting to take the trader hostage.
I was under the impression that the trader was under no threat and was certainly no hostage. It was then that.. it happened.
I dont know how who or why it did but it did.
The trade vessel was hit with an anti matter blast and well.. Loup was the only bomber there.
I did not see if Loup's guns were firing at the time. I only saw the blast of blue as the antimatter blast smashed into the traders engine bay. The explosion rocked the ship and it ruptured in seconds. I saw one pod being ejected from the wreck as the neon and fuel bays blew.
Understandably the two IDF attacked Loup.
To say the least I was at a loss. We dont kill civilians and I understand this completly. I powered down my weapons and well they continued to fire at Loup. There was little I could do and any intervention on my part would have made the matter worse. I requested the IDF stop firing to sort this out but understandably the bloodlust was strong. I dont beilieve Loup fired at them but I must admit I was in shock at the time. He may have. He claimed it was his fault and his responsibility. At the time I asked for your permission to fire on Loup as he had acted like a traitor for which I apologize and I will also convey a personal apology to Loup when I see him.
Loup Ejected and his ship was destroyed by the two IDF vessels. Well after that I was attempting to calm the situation when you arrived. I was trying to give a report when all the royals came creeping out their holes and I was ordered out by high command.
I think it should also be noted when you gave the order to turn back the IDF threw accusations that we were going to kill them. These are of course baseless as if we had wanted to kill them we would have done so immediately.
This was well.. a tragedy and should not truly have happened.
Please convey my condolences to the loss of any IDF pilots who were... killed over this misunderstanding.
