I like to fly a fighter or a bomber because of the survival ratio.
I can survive 15-20 PC enemies on my bomber/fighter, and take some with me depending on the skill of the enemy forces.
I can survive 4- PC enemies while on a GB. IF they are on capships (cruiser+), more than 6-4. If on smaller ships, then less than 4. If on fighters, 2-5. All depending on enemy skill.
If i'm on a BS/Cruiser/Frigate class ship, less than 3. because i'm a big fat target with crappy guns and a deficient power core.
So, as you can see, BS are the terror of the newb, novice or intermediate pilot. veterans and up can take on big ships with smaller ones.
A mix of two veteran/elite piloted fighters/bombers can take down ANYTHING. And a GB with fighter support is INDESTRUCTIBLE. Refer to the gamma battle for further proof on that last item.
And let alone an elite piloted bomber... I've taken entire Battleship fleets on my own with my bomber, not because I'm too good or because the bomber is unbalanced, but because those BS pilots were so used to just point and shoot instead of planning a strategy that they could not take me down in time...
Strategy people... That is what wins a war. Not Uber l33t 2435345456 billion credits ships with mk95 armor and 200 lvl11 turrets.
Take AW as an example of that. We've won like 10 wars. All while outnumbered... Because we do know how to fight as a team and think strategically...
EDIT: Not more fighters. We need to improve the current ones. the two ravens are fine the way they are now.
Nobody uses MKII house fighters because they have crappy maneuverability or low power power core, or have lower forward firepower.

(Really, I speak terrible English, so please, tell me if I make mistakes. I'd like to improve it a bit )
