Piracy is not worth anymore. Today one trader offered himself to pay when I was some two jumps away from him. I became suspicious of him due to his level 70 ship, and thought it was a battleship trying to lure me to a trap, so I flow away from him. He said then that I have to start trading, that piracy dont give any money. I already trade, but its a different char, completely unrelated to my dragon gunboat. However, 90% of the players in the server are pwzors...one of them told my trader about three of his ships, one gunboat and two battleships, which are parked alongside the Cambridge Corfu route and he said he will jump to them if he see a pirate in a neighboring system. Is this a attitude of a roleplayer? I mean, the ships are not linked to each other. They are different characters. So why tell me that? Instead, he can say: "we are secure, I known a mercenary group that operates here and Im friendly with them", its more creative. Some also ask what are my ships, like I was just some money collector. I will not say what are my ships, do not insist. Theres a small crew inside my transport, and they work for a small company. Thats the reason why I turning my characters into faction-tagged characters, even if its just me in the faction.
Looks like some traders are desperated to be pirated, so that they can have some action. Theres lots of traders in the server. I can say theres more traders than combat ships actually. However, CDs dont work properly, and theres the F1 problem. Also theres a lot of "independent" pirates who dont like to interact with each other.
You say pirates cant use cruisers, but I say to you: if theres a limit on how much a pirate can ask (depending on the transport being pirated), any ship can be used for piracy. A trader will not be attacked if he pay.
