Something does not fit in the storyline

The extended trailer is not consistant with Canon Freelancer, and never should be thought of as such. People have tried to have it make sense in Discovery, and Igiss has even said that Discovery Canon follows the extended trailer.

But Freelancer, the vanilla version, does not. Sol was never destroyed by the Nomads, because they were not awoken until 799-800AS by a Rheinland expedition, when they began their infiltration of the Human Race.

Forget everything you ever saw in the extended trailer, it was cut. The opening of Vanilla Freelancer is what is canon.

Wait, if we use the extended trailer... how is it not canon? I'm confused.
