I will destroy even heavily armored hedgies in rock fields. Especially if they're trying to run and fight.
Either run (die) or fight (probably die).
Mixing the two will just make Yarr smile. And then he will go buy another whorehouse on Kyushu with the profits.
Mafics and other escorts will give me pause, for a moment or two. If a mafic has a Supernova, I'll blow up the transport and then fly away. If it has a CD, I'll probably wait for backup, if it has a nova I'll cringe and dive in and hope he doesn't know how to use it.
Same for fighters, if you don't have a CD, you're worthless as an escort. When I was picking out the ships for RepEx's security wing, I went with the smallest ship that still had a CD. And then taught the people who joined how to escort properly. An escort who jumps in after the transport is a useless escort. An escort who flies ahead of the transport, sees the pirate, but has no way to stop the pirate from getting to the transport is a useless escort. An escort who cannot keep the pirate from chasing his transport if the transport is in cruise, is a useless escort. An escort who cannot stop Yarr from getting too the miner, and then getting away with the loot, is a useless escort.
Also, Ivan and n00bl3t, please stop, this thread was made to flame Yarr, I don't want anything distracting from that. (It's chilly in hell).
