Erm, may we differenciate RP from ooRP here? Sounds a lot to me as if you're taking this very personally. And sounds you're deducting what exactly we want here from that inRP thread. You know, I can tell you quite a few cases of countries saying something in public and doing a completely different thing. But I'm sure you're aware of such cases?
We have a right to be pretentious, backstabbing and skirt-hugging douches inRP. Heck, in quite a few cases that's considered "good RP". (I don't know if Linkus wants us to be that way though)
I'd personally wait for Linkus to explain the broader aspects of this (as he said he would) and -then- judge CR.

okay, the less confusing answer may be: our characters have a right to be a bit silly and irrational. It's not like you don't see a lot of those two in real world groups and leaders, eh? So why dislike the reasons we decided to throw our hat into the Omicron ring outside the RP enviroment? (which is exactly what a feedback thread is) - I'm not saying you shouldn't ask for the reasons, it's just that you're forcing your logic where not much logic is actually needed IMO.
And if our primary reason for this were indeed ooRP... So what? Why would first determining what you want to do in an ooRP enviroment, then find inRP reasons to do it - be bad? Hell, devs did it with the Bretonian - Kusari war. And many people say that that was the best thing to happen to Bretonia.
