John was just preparing to show his hand of two aces to add to a third on the table when something large began cutting out the sunlight of the pub's exterior observation window. The pub's lights brightened to compensate and a few heads turned to what seemed to be a large flat object moving into the left of the view outside.
John glanced over and took twice before his face shaped into a concentrated and anticipatory stare. Slowly but surely the large structure moved past showing girders, support columns and massive panels of hull metal. Johns forhead dropped into his palm as a giant letter T made it's way into view. He stared in disbelief as the letter N followed. As the letter A began creeping into view John reached into his pocket and pulled out a small flat cell phone, pressed a button and placed it to his ear.
As the other end of the line picked up the earpiece was flooded with laughter from the recipients of the call.
"Alright gents, very funny, bring her back."
"Because you know I can incinerate you all from here if you don't."
"Alright, just keep her readied"
"Good good"
As John hung up the ship outside slowed to a halt and began moving back the other way, spilling starlight back into the pub. John stood up from the table and flipped his cards over.
"I'l fold. Apologies, got a bit of an advancement in my schedule. It's been a pleasure playing doc, and m'lady."
John took the doc's hand a shook it firmly. Pip looked so boystrous he wasn't sure as to how to greet her. But she helled out her arm playfully and he shook it in kind. Finally John buttoned his waistcoat, put his hands in his pockets and walked out of the pub.
