I am finally back from my mission. Took more, a lot more actually, than originally planned.
Soon after the Cerberus Medical Team left, Alice, captain of the Sleepyhead, offered to accompany me on my mission. The original plan was to scout the Taus, yet we were interrupted by an intruder in Languedoc, an outcast. The intruder didn't respond to any of my calls, so I decided to take lethal measures. He was soon dealt with.
To start with, Alice led me through Tau-23, Tau-29, Tau-31 and New Castle.
On our way back we were halted by yet another outcast, who showed very aggressive behaviour. As such, I decided it was time for us to find out more about these outcasts and, with general du Lac's permission, we headed to Omicron Alpha.
However, outcasts were numerous in Tau-23, so we had to take a way around them: Tau-39, Tau-37 and then Omicron Alpha.
I managed to take a good pic of Planet Malta and the nearby Shipyard, but the outcasts were aware of our presence, so we had to make a run for it. Unfortunately, the outcasts were blocking the exit, so we had to take a LONG way around. I'll try to keep the description as short as possible.
We headed through the following systems, in our attempt to return home: Omicron Beta, Sigma-19, Sigma-17, Omicron Theta, Omega-41, Omega-47, Omega-49, Dublin, Leeds, and then, at last, Orkney.
Encounters: Outcasts: they have shown very clear signs of aggressivity, yet open conflict with them could possibly ruin our cause: they are very well armed, trained and very numerous. I suggest diplomatic ties are established at once, as to avoid such thing. Corsairs: quite the opposite of the outcasts, but just as well armed, trained and numerous. They showed no signs of hostility, and due to the fact that they are very far from our usual operations areas, they will pose no problems. Red Hessians: a political group who opposes the Rheinland regime. But they don't like foreigners either, they would probably shoot us on sight. Then again, contact with them is very unlikely. Zoners: met a few, saw many of their bases: nice people with huge resources. In Omega-49, I met one of their leaders, who invited us on Shasta, where all their diplomatic ties are managed. Maybe we should look up to this. Unknown: Well, we saw something very strange when in New Castle. Some alien ruins, protected by a solid energy shield. The shield seemed to be unpenetrable, that until Alice went straight through it. After that, in Tau-37, scanners picked up some strange readings, yet I couldn't see anything. Alice seemed to know much about this, yet she didn't trust me enough to share this information with me. I feel like we must investigate about this. Alice: well, curious "person", to say the least. Actually, she is not a person, she is an AI controlled drone, with the extraordinary ability to have feelings. That makes for an odd combination. She has extensive information about the whole Sirius sector, and seems willing to share some with us. Again, and opportunity we cannot let slip past. Aigis: just like Alice, a drone who can have feelings. She works for the so-called Virulian Enclave, a group with many similarities with the zoners, who is based on Planet Gran Canaria, in Omega-49. They are interested in the future of Gallia, and in the threat that the royalists could pose to "outside groups". She also said she would require my help with something, but given the very delicate situation, we left that matter for another time.
That'd be all for now, I trust you to put this information to good use.
Alexandre out.
