Quote:But in RP way the interest of a faction should lie in the survival of the own people and the death of the opponents. An not that the enemy has a fair chance.
I totally second that. You see,i heard this "dont engage him,it's overkill" thing so much that it gives me a headache.Tell you what,Omicroner.
1.A couple of day ago the BHG crushed me in Kappa in a Fearless, with multiple bombers and dessies. They didn't prove "fair",so why should i ?
2.About a month ago i get ganked in Minor by a LN fleet of bombers. There were so many,i thought the entire asteroid field was red.I died in less than 5 minutes, and i didn't complain a thing. It was ok.
3.Some 2 weeks ago,as i was strolling in Delta with my ossie,i got a distress signal from Order Agents being attacked by RM-MND ships. We were multiple caps,a couple of gebs/resephs and some fighters against a handfull of RM ships.Their skill,as far as i reckon, was most impressive,so i personally didn't think for a second about overkill. In fact,i was pretty useless at that moment right there!
You see,i don't really fancy this "be fair" thing. If i play as a Hunter Mako, and see an Order hunter or 2,it's not because of the overkill that i dont engage. In fact, with a proper loadout,i doubt i would kill any of them. It's because it's pathetic to fly a capship around for some flies, imho.
What does "be fair" have to do here,i cannot understand. Are you trying to say that if all this was real,as in real life,a hunter pilot would back off and say "no,i ain't going to shoot, because the enemy is weaker than i am" ?
This assertion is rubbish. In the greatest RP situations you will NEVER see such a thing (or you shouldn't) because those situations are a pure reflection of a real-life scenario. And in a real-life scenario, you dont see such things at all. There is no mercy,no fair-play.It's not a soccer game,it's combat!
