' Wrote:I just reached lvl 40 on my first char (I feel very proud of myself) and am wondering what ID to buy. I'm max friendly with Junkers, Outcasts, Blood Dragons, Xenos (yes, because enough law-people hate me) Liberty Rogues, GC, and Lane Hackers.
Here's my newb-ish question:
I can't decide between Outcast, BD, or just general Pirate ID. I would get BD, except the main thing I want to do is smuggle, and I'm not sure if it'd play into RP if I was a BD smuggling cardamine, seeing as they don't like cardamine. I'd be Outcast, then, except I want to be BD! And I don't even know what the difference is between the general Pirate ID and the other two, other than it's... well, general. Maybe you could explain this to me?
Well, Blood Dragons are more like noble ronin, fighting against what they see as a usurper on the throne of Kusari. And they aren't fond of cardamine, despite being allied with the Outcasts.
Outcasts are the drug lords. They have immense power and influence over the criminal underworld of Sirius, not to mention lots of money. They handle the cardamine trade and deliver it to their various pawns, such as the GC and Liberty Rogues.
A generic Pirate ID is just that... Generic. You aren't 'officially' tied to any single pirate faction (though your tag would give you some affiliation). Gives you a bit more leeway, but you wouldn't have the support of a large group behind you. As far as 'stats' go, there isn't really any difference between any of the pirate IDs, it's all just the RP behind it.
There's also a new Outcast smuggling faction starting up, the Blue Lotus Syndicate... Might look for it in the Disco RP Factions forum. *cough*
