This is an unusual case, therefore unusual (but not new, we have done this before) measures have been taken.
Official factions representing NPC groups have certain powers over members of the same npc faction. If you fly with a particular npc faction ID, you are part of that npc faction. Otherwise, don't use the ID.
I could link you to all the posts relating to the latest incarnation of your group, but this is not the first time we've been here with this same group of players.
Coupled with this, there are forum issues that need to be resolved, desite previous warnings and bans. Put together, the totality of interactions here is quite negative, and not improving. I think at this stage a little more than guns and credits are at stake.
