' Wrote:Mr. Unknown: Well, I have a business proposition for you. I know you have connections with a certain smugglers group, don't ask me how I know this, but understand I do and I'm not here to court marshal you. In fact as I said before I have a proposition for you... I could use you as an informant from within the lower ranks of the LSF, also as a guy to help me 'clean up' some of the messes that might inevitably pop up from time to time, and finally I could use your assistance with getting certain otherwise 'unobtainable' items brought into Liberty for me. I of course will pay you well, and I believe the arrangement would be most beneficial to us both. I will pay you well, that is not a problem. What do you think? Any questions or concerns?
(Mr. Unknown pauses and awaits the response of Mr., Rocconan)
Phil Rocconan removes a pack of cigarettes and a lighter from his pockets then looks at Mr. Unknown
"May I?"
Mr. Unknown nods and opens a drawer in his desk, taking out an ashtray which he then places near the young; blond-haired, blue-eyed LSF agent.
"Thanks; smoking helps me think."
Rocconan lights up, and takes a drag from his cigarette (ensuring that he exhales in the opposite direction, away from Mr. Unknown and his expensive furniture) then continues speaking.
"So... uh, how do I know that this isn't a trick, a loyalty test? After all; I have just been the subject of an investigation by IA, one that was suspended due to a lack of evidence linking me to any smuggling organisations or individuals who are members of such things. For all I know; you could be trying to get me to incriminate myself, sorry."
