' Wrote:Good god, can't we just have one big "What do you think of everything about the person above you?" thread? That way we could keep all of this ninja-posting attention-seeking somewhat more contained.
Here, I'll start, assuming I'm not "ninja'd". And even if I am, f*** it, I don't give a damn.
Jeremy, your signature is nicely made and relatively simple. I like that about it. The angle on the only half-visible Osiris gives it a menacing yet mysterious look, and the red flame (I'm assuming it's flame) adds a lovely accent to the overall darkness of the banner. However, I feel that the text is too obscuring of the main image. It doesn't necessarily "cover" a whole lot of the image, but it's quite distracting.
You also have a few links to various topics and posts. I'm not sure if anyone ever really pays much attention to simple signature-links. I certainly don't.
Your avatar looks like a wallpaper or something that's just been scaled down to avatar-size. It seems that there's a lot of detail in it that we can't make out at all because it's so ridiculously tiny compared to what it was meant to be in the first place. Your avatar also shows us your "main character", the image of whom is clearly imported from Kingdom Hearts. I've never been a fan of using popular characters from other forms of media for the image of an in-game character, because they're just generally too recognizable. I've never even played Kingdom Hearts, hell, I don't know the first thing about it, but I know who "Sora" is. He can't be Sora and Jeremy.
Your post-count and join date are high enough and long ago enough (respectively) to show that while you've been here for a while, and have spoken your mind a fair deal on our forums, you're still not quite a "veteran" in the eyes of the "important" members of our community. "Less than 2,000 posts? Bah. Not even two years old on Disco? Bah. He's not important at all," they'll say. Yet you're close.
But it's not the join date or the post count that really matter, is it? It's the content of your posts. Unfortunately, I find the content of many of your posts to be somewhat lacking. A simple agreement to the OP without adding anything of value, or taking the opportunity to remind us all that you're a fan of Kingdom Hearts or Halo or something, with a few typos sprinkled about. The typos I can understand, though. You say you're forumlancing on a phone, and those keypads are ridiculously tiny. Even so, it can still take me a few extra seconds to piece together what you just said, after I figure out what words you meant to type. Mostly it's commas, though, and those are acceptable.
You generally have a good attitude about you. You're a good kid who's here to have fun and you role-play in the way you want to role-play, and don't conform to other people's rules in that regard. That's certainly something to be respected. However in some matters, you seem rather quick to unnecessary anger. Most recently, for example, Dakun and Uzed have clearly gotten on your nerves. In several posts, you seem to be passive-aggressively calling them out on their rambunctious in-game behavior, and bring whining to threads where it doesn't belong. It doesn't happen often, I know, but I've seen at least one or two threads recently where this has happened. Yes, a lot of people are angry at these guys for various reasons. But, like you, they're here to have fun in any way they can, and don't conform to the "rules" set in place by others. They're just a bit more disruptive about it. Understand that there's no need to get in a whinging match with anyone here, really. It's the internet. Nothing is solved by complaining to others on the internet.
There. Now, everyone else, get going on some real constructive posts instead of just the usual "I like your signature."
And yes, I can see from the post preview/last 10 posts thing that I was indeed "ninja'd" four times. I'm posting it anyway.
Jack Aubrey made the sig.
And yeah, I've had a short temper since forever.
But none of us care to be called a complete idiot.
And that is a real constructive post. I cant even try and emulate that...
Thank you.
But meh, it was Sora or Master Chief.
