When will Sirius discover that Sol is gone?

I just doesn't make sense. The extended intro creates plot holes. No one saw the Nomads coming, none of the governments had any sort of precautions, knowledge or contingency plans regarding a sudden Nomad invasion.

Behold the answer of truth that came to my head after you said that:



Assuming Earth had the same history as ours, which is hinted throughout Freelancer, then its clear that it could be inferred the people on Earth had a conspiracy about flying spaceships when we were still starting in space

Humanity then reaches impressive space technology and do battles whilst all the time, conceivably these really fast things are still flying around: or maybe they vanish. Then all of a sudden its a surprise there was a massive wth mothership coming to destroy Sol? Nahh, inconceivable;)

It could be possible to RP a history that was based upon that. Maybe UFO's are like a Daam K'vosh Mk II explorer vessel, and then they unleashed the nomads to destroy Sol:PAgain, lots of RP lines that could come from it, its really a hypothetical on "why" the people in sol didn't know: but doesn't mean you can't RP it. I do agree there needs to be more 'official' RP on this, instead of conflicting stories.

This is one reason I had suggested in the wiki thread that we should really increase the rp history of Earth and Sol on the wiki, as alot of people refer to it for the storyline.

And yeh, I doubt the 'populace' of sirius will know at all as its a closely guarded secret. Until its not, well as such.
