>>>Dated: Week 120, 817 A.S Investigation report, Case No. 235: Officer missing, Taiki Ono
Reporting officer: Shōi Nekketsu, Hayato
Under orders from my superiors I have been searching for any sign of Officer Taiki Ono, though I have questioned a few pilots that pass through Honshu, my efforts have been disturbed by interruptions from chrysanthemums, dragons and mercenaries.
I have not yet co-ordinated with the state police, an grievous error on my part: following rumours and snatches of conversation has led me into much trouble.
In Hokkaido I met a Tanto pilot named Hinjo, who made short work of my light reconnaissance craft.
After pick-up I acquired a new craft and ran into a friendly zoner in orbit of Honshu. A dragon named SeiOtsuka crossed nearby, and without coercion, agreed to exchange his Kusari prisoners for the few criminals I had locked in the hold. None of the recovered pilots turned out to be Ono, nor had they knowledge of his whereabouts.
Then finally I flew straight into the chrysanthemum allied Ruousha, I found myself unable to significantly damage the mercenary, and fell to the bomber just as allies from the 113th and Chui Genji arrived. Between sorties, as the Cryer doctors worked on burns from my last failure, I have thought much on the limits of obedience and discipline. My wife has doubtless made more progress: I must do better if I am to meet her eyes again. Nekketsu out.
