Hello there gentlemen. Overall I get along pretty well with Interspace Commerce. They do a good job of walking the tightrope between lawful enterprise and shady dealings with unlawful groups.
There is, however, one small matter I feel needs to be cleared up.
Now, if I am reading this post correctly, then it would appear that the GMG is in default of its debts to Interspace Commerce.
Basically, I interpret the post as running like this:
1) IC loans GMG the cash to develop Okinawa.
2) GMG hauls fuel - makes repayments to IC, all is well.
3) Hostilities open up between the Guild and Samura, Kusari intervenes and begins to blockade Okinawa. IC feels the squeeze as they are barred from moving any goods themselves.
4) GMG can no longer repay its loans, goes into default.
Now, that is all well and good. There is, however, one small flaw in this sequence of events. Interspace never loaned the GMG the money. Interspace paid for the Okinawa development, as part of a profit-share arrangement.
To back up this claim of mine - I now quote from the Interspace Commerce Faction Status, note the part I have bolded:
"In a deal with Interspace Commerce to invest and finance the development of the system, the GMG resentfully signed the deal with Interspace Commerce, who would get 5% of all H-fuel profits."
This information in your faction status was obviously taken from the infocard for Furyoku Station - as quoted below - note the bolded portion:
"After the discovery of the Okinawa system, Kishiro and the GMG required a considerable amount of money to quickly begin the construction of the system's infrastructure. Unfortunately, the only corporation both willing and able to underwrite the project was Interspace Commerce, who agreed to insure and finance it in exchange for 5% of the H-Fuel profits and also being permitted to construct a base in Okinawa."
And this is further reinforced by the Furoku's barman infocard. Again note the bolded portion:
"Interspace takes a 5% cut in the H-Fuel profits within this system, although sometimes the GMG lets us take our cut in H-Fuel, rather than in credits."
Sorry guys - I have to call you out on this. You are trying to assert sovereign ownership of a system you dont own, citing debts that dont exist. By all means, prove me wrong by providing infocards, rumours or anything in-game that shows the GMG actually owes money to Interspace.
Otherwise, Interspace Commerce is still entitled to take its 5% cut. If the Kusari blockade means that profits are zero, then 5% of zero is, well you can do the math...
