Fully loaded or as much as possible.
' Wrote:I would think that a battleship should be worth more than a third cruiser, but I guess the military forces should have more firepower than the convoy, though I'm not happy about that conclusion.
The military forces should have the ability to call on larger vessels, it is after all their primary systems and not an edge world. The numbers were choosen since the number of cruisers in the convoy should be a good indicator of how many people are involved. Likelyhood is that there won't be any battleships as the majority of ships will and should be gunboat or smaller. If the number of cruisers in the event did outnumber the smaller vessels then I think we'd all agree that something is wrong.
' Wrote:Are any other pirate groups besides the Junkers going to attack the convoy? If so, I doubt that a bribed transport with matching tag will be there, such as GC, Outcast, etc.
Hmm good point, the transports would likely have junker tags or some other inbetween party but delivering to a specific pirate group. Thus Juan_Williams should be able to meet with any pirate group. (ie. pick your partners).
' Wrote:Why is the route set in stone? Couldn't the convoy get routed by an attack with convoy members scattering in all directions and taking alternate routes? If that happened, the opposition would also be in total chaos, not knowing which way different subgroups of the convoy would get to their destination.
Aye and the whole event would be a re-run of a past event where there was little action and just alot of chasing. Fun for the runner, rathering boring for everyone else. Route is fixed to ensure that interactions can occur (which is the point of the event). The fixed route does leave leeway for the jumpholes. Thus in most of the systems you'll have 2 ways in and 2 ways out, 1 jump-gate and 1 jump-hole. If things go belly up and the whole convoy fails before even leaving Bretonia, then it wouldn't be too difficult to reset back to the beginning and remove the fixed route option. But I HIGHLY suggest that for the first attempt and given the length of the route that it'd be fixed.
' Wrote:I don't know of any pirate bases in Cambridge (unless there is one that is Discovery only), but I think any Junker players should start on the Junker base in New London. If an Admin will participate, he can ensure that the Junker players stay on Trafalgar Base until the convoy enters New London, then the Junkers can launch and the race to intercept the convoy begins. I suspect that the probable interception point will be Southampton Shipyard, as that is a location frequented by Junkers and other pirates, not to mention that anybody using the trade lanes to get from Cambridge to Leeds will go past Southampton Shipyard.
Agreeably, Trafalgar would be the best place for the junkers to start; however, leaving New London empty of participants makes it easy to verify when the event has started in the case that no admin is present. Also having no one in New London keeps things fair as technically the BAF could intercept on the doorstep at Cambridge based on the logic you've presented. Having New London empty ensures everyone starts at least 1 jump away from the convoy.
' Wrote:The information about the other players sounds good, but if the Junkers are going to wait for Juan_Arquero, they're going to have a problem, since Juan_Arquero is in Kusari space in a freighter with no synthetic marijuana. You better tell the Junkers to look for Juan_Williams who has an Armored Transport, Trader ID, Junkers tag and will probably have a good supply of weed by tomorrow.
Just going with what info I had.
' Wrote:Have you asked Bushido if they will participate? Also, have you sent any PMs to any of the Admins to ask for their help?
No direct PMs have been sent out (to my knowledge) to the admins or any faction specifically. Feel free to do so and direct their attention to this thread although they should have seen this already.
