Sender ID: Officer John Smith
Subject: Patrol Report 07
Location: Fort Bush, New York, Liberty, Sirius
I started my patrol today with Officer Marcus Lindberg. We teamed up with a marine and one of the "good" freelancers. Very soon, we got a distress call from a trader under attack at the lane between Fort Bush and the Colorado Jumpgate. When we arrived, it was a mess. There were a lot of mercs, a pirate, and even a Gunboat from the Bretonia Armed Forces. Everyone was shooting at each other. We had no idea what was going on, but in the confusion, we unfortunatly lost the trader.
When we figured out that nothing that happened there made any sense, we ordered everyone to cease fire. After some persistant words, everything became kind of peacefull again. The BAF GB left since he had no business being in Liberty. We found out who killed the trader. The suspect was Geist-I, a pirate flying a Red Hessian bomber. Our sensors didn't think he was hostile, we need to calibrate that little error I guess. Marcus arrested the suspect, who appeared to cooperate. When we set course for Sugarland, he ambushed Officer Marcus and shot him. I immediately engaged Geist-I with Silver.Knix. The bomber was no match for us, so he decided to run pretty quick. He wasn't getting away with it that easy, so we went in persuit. He fled into the scrap field so I had to break off. Silver kept going, and updated me on his location.
I decided to chase him through safer routes, so I took the jumpgate to Colorado. We ended up in Ontario, where he got away by docking an unknown base. Right after we decided to go home, he appeared on sensors again. I tried to get to him, but he was already too far gone. Ill make sure I add him to the fugitive list.
I resumed patrol in Colorado, and came across a civilian trader hauling Gate/Lane parts. He didn't had a license to carry those goods, so I ordered him to take the parts back to Pueblo Station. He didn't say much, but it appeared he was going to comply. He fooled me, because he was trying to get away when I wasn't looking for a second. I chased him and fired several warning shots. He kept on running, so I made it very clear I was serious. While fiddling around with my guncam, he managed to dock with a lane and went for the Rio Grande. He docked there, got his ship fixed, and then came out again. I called for some assistance from the Ageira Security force, since they have more experience with these things.
Once more, we ordered him back to Pueblo. He tried to run again. Ageira Black-8 opened fire, and I assisted. When his ship was almost falling apart, he decided to listen, and went for Pueblo station. Glad that it didn't end messy, I went back to Fort Bush to end my patrol.
