Concerning the matter of the Hamburg jumpgate wreck in Hudson, it seems it has more than just the governments attention such as described in the broadcast by the VWA. It all started out as i was going to heading back out on my week break (I was called back into the office to deal with something concerning a future program/project), i was going to do some personal endeavors near Bretonia. Cloaking to evade liberty patrols through the system, I'd stumble across this, VWA ships and [ALG] working to investigate the total damage caused by the destructive disabling of the gates cooling system. Unfortunately in like we heard in the News, the Hudson gate is currently in a state of critical damage and could cause a catastrophic event that could flood the entirety of multiples systems that surround it.
Concerning the VWA ships, it seemed to be an arrangement of, 2 fighters and pirate class transport accompanied by an [ALG] freighter. (There was also a Libertonian ship on standby, although he didn't seem like a threat, although he did have a lot of questions concerning the jump gates energy.) They seemed to be co-operating happily, no threats, no arguments, just pure and simple collaboration to investigate the damage of the jumpgate. This continued on for around 10 minuets, until the freighter suddenly started to salvage some components of the jump gate, possibly for study. I couldn't stay there for long so i didn't get the full story, and i had only a limited amount of cloak left on my vessel, I managed to intercept the conversation, but it all seemed peaceful, all in all, i think they're doing us a favor.
[11.06.2015 00:10:55] [ALG]-TGS-Ottakring: Lena: Of course I heard the news on the matter. We didn't notice anything of the sort.
[11.06.2015 00:10:55] VWA|Arsenal: Klugmann: Ultimately our intention is to leave the maintenance of the gate in the hands of the "experts".
[11.06.2015 00:11:17] Damian.Lewis: "So, what will happen with the unstable thingie over there if you salvage it?"
[11.06.2015 00:11:27] [ALG]-TGS-Ottakring: Lena: But then, the vessels we operate with here aren't exactly equipped to detect such things.
[11.06.2015 00:11:31] Damian.Lewis: "Would you trigger it with salvaging deeper?"
[11.06.2015 00:11:54] [ALG]-TGS-Ottakring: Lena: To the gate? Nothing. Of course we will not be prying off components that are still connected to active circuitry.
[11.06.2015 00:12:15] [ALG]-TGS-Ottakring: Lena: It is- oh. Well, that did not last long.
[11.06.2015 00:12:20] VWA|Arsenal: Klugmann: Well done.
[11.06.2015 00:12:23] Damian.Lewis: "Well, that was pretty fast. Congratulations, Herr Braun."
[11.06.2015 00:12:30] VWA|Arsenal: Klugmann: We gave him a chance to leave with no issue.
[11.06.2015 00:12:44] Damian.Lewis: "So, you don't plan to stop the gate from blowing up? Hm?"
[11.06.2015 00:13:09] [ALG]-TGS-Ottakring: Lena: Nothing we can do about that, really. Ageira releases essentially no technical information on jump gates.
[11.06.2015 00:13:33] Damian.Lewis: "Huh, as I thought..."
[11.06.2015 00:14:01] [ALG]-TGS-Ottakring: Lena: It is peculiar, though. Normally, even a quick scan should reveal such a large degree of potential instability.
[11.06.2015 00:14:14] [ALG]-TGS-Ottakring: Lena: We are professionals in the field. This is something we would notice, normally.
[11.06.2015 00:14:52] [ALG]-TGS-Ottakring: Lena: So, either the reports are exaggerated, or these things are even more resistant to analysis than previously assumed.
[11.06.2015 00:15:29] Damian.Lewis: "Can that energy... be transfered or transported somehow and used somewhere else?"
[11.06.2015 00:15:51] [ALG]-TGS-Ottakring: Lena: Not....really. Not unless you tow the whole gate, or significant parts of it.
[11.06.2015 00:16:29] Damian.Lewis: "So it can, if you tow only the essential parts which hold that 'matter'?
[11.06.2015 00:16:55] [ALG]-TGS-Ottakring: Lena: I don't know. You would have to ask Ageira, and they likely wouldn't answer either.
[11.06.2015 00:17:15] Damian.Lewis: "I see..."
[11.06.2015 00:17:22] [ALG]-TGS-Ottakring: Lena: But you certainly cannot take a little piece of it and "contain" energy of some sort in it, if that's what you mean.
[11.06.2015 00:17:48] Damian.Lewis: "I don't want a piece... I want the -whole- energy.
[11.06.2015 00:18:17] [ALG]-TGS-Ottakring: Lena: Hire two dozen Heavy Lifters and get the gate where you want it, I guess *laughs*
[11.06.2015 00:18:35] [ALG]-TGS-Ottakring: Lena: You're not likely to get functional components out of it otherwise.
[11.06.2015 00:18:46] VWA|Arsenal: Klugmann: Libertonian, this is... A disconcerting conversation we're having.
[11.06.2015 00:18:55] Damian.Lewis: "Heh, you're a smart one, missie."
[11.06.2015 00:19:21] [ALG]-TGS-Ottakring: Lena: With what it is now....redundant circuitry, energy sinks, lots of bulk alloy....that, you can get.
[11.06.2015 00:19:36] [ALG]-TGS-Ottakring: Lena: But certainly not anything that contains "jump gate functionality".
[11.06.2015 00:19:51] Damian.Lewis: "Well... I'll leave you fellas alone then. Be nice and protect the lady."
[11.06.2015 00:19:57] VWA|Guy.Sajer: Ja, ja.
[11.06.2015 00:20:00] Damian.Lewis: "I got what I needed to know."
[11.06.2015 00:20:05] [ALG]-TGS-Ottakring: Lena: *chuckles* Alright. Was a pleasure.
[11.06.2015 00:20:18] [ALG]-TGS-Ottakring: Lena: We had best get to work anyway.
[11.06.2015 00:20:26] Damian.Lewis: "Farewell."
[11.06.2015 00:20:54] VWA|Arsenal: Klugmann: Alright, we'll be as brief as possible. Keep an eye out.
