Well, I think we both illustrated our points well. It is eventually up to xoria or mods / admins to decide will they increase the prices or income.
IMO something should be done to buff the prices but to increase the learning curve or to make the learning curve better as well.
I know you resent it, but an newbie has a higher chance to learn how to roleplay when joining a faction than with simple lone wolf approach.

They are always observing:D
But even if mods / devs hear none of my words or my ideas, I will still submit them constantly, because of YOU (the reader)
You might not believe it, but relying solely on devs / mods / admins to give you advice / guidance isn't really going to bear fruits.
It is cooperation between the "common" users of this wonderful mods that gets it going further.
It is a sandbox type game, where they provide the content and we provide the roleplay.
ivan, i agree... but this is one of the issues that can be resolved ONLY by the dev/admin team. if they go for a "NO U!" then we might speak out all we want and nothing will change.
In this topic - yes. Because it can be argued that either choice works.
Keeping the current prices, or actually increasing the profit.
However, the game is made for players, not for mods and admins, and players are the ones that make the game run.
That does not mean that players can hold the devs / mods hostage, but it means that if enough players voice their concern about something that it should be taken into consideration.
Well, I am a new to this server and I have to agree with the general sentiment expressed here.
Starting from scratch and then building your way up, takes quite a long time here. Especially, when you don't have any friends here to begin with and you don't know players on this server.
Before coming to this server I have played in a number of other servers which were not RP oriented like Discovery. In all those servers setting up one's character was much easier and quicker.
Now, I don't know how the situation was earlier here but certainly right now the economic system needs improvement.
I would support an increase in profits rather than a reduction in prices because for a player at the bottom of the economic ladder a rising income matters more than non-existent savings created by reduction in prices.
In other servers in which I have played, there is no such thing as a restart command. This command is very useful for a new player. But unfortunately, it takes a long time to move to a decent freighter and then to decent transport. I would say that if one manages to reach the transport stage then the going becomes much easier. However,in the beginning it is tough!
Something like a capital ship is an impossible dream in the beginning and rightly so, but that does not mean that the means to achieve one should be kept out of reach for many.
Also not all new players want a cap ship, some like me have tried them elsewhere and rather prefer to fly something else.:P
If it were to be tortuously difficult like it is now in making money, a number of new players would just give up and leave. And I suppose many do every day and many leave, even as I write this.
The only way I'd agree to having a better econ is if we make it so you have to write up a story to own battleships. As far as I can see this will make more lolwuts appear. If this is to be implemented be prepared to face more cap8 ships...that is all I can say without making this a rant.

The point is, they are getting BS with Capital Armour VIII anyway, whilst genuine role-players are not.
