ROFL The fact that this thread i posted has got so much response, just proves what i been saying. Both Pirates, and trader's are getting dumber.
1/ Pirate oh's no that trader laughed at me cause i failed,so now i demand all cargo from next easy target. VERY DUMB! promotes dumbness from trader's.
2/ Trader Oh's no that last pirate demanded all my cargo, and i got blowed up.Now i will forget all RP,and interaction with player's,and fly 50K above the planes, and avoid all JG's,and TL's. Also VERY DUMB! Promotes more power/money/cargo hungry Pirates.
3/ Repeat over, and over till no one has any RP,or fun anymore.:(

Truly you are the master of this.
Your response:
Equals a massive exaggeration of the current situation. This is not the case. Every pirate does not take all the cargo let alone without Role-Play reason to back it up. QCP are one of those who usually demands all cargo but they have a clear Role-Play reason for it. (Reference: Disrupting the Kusari economy).
However, the pirates I have stumbled upon being a trader vessel myself, never asked me to give away all of my cargo. Never. Not even once. But even if they did. I wouldn't whine about it because I know that there are so many ways to avoid them. Hiring a scout, flying above plane, taking other routes. Etc. etc.
What you are doing here is called "bitching - Discovery style." Bitching - Discovery style means that there is a problem which can be fixed if you gave a second of thought to it and actually took action but instead you decide to cry about it on the forums hoping it will get solved.
I have traded for a week now and I know how to avoid 90% of pirate encounters. I'm guessing you have traded for well over a year but here we are, you bitching about getting pirated, the harshness of it and adding small inputs of your personal distaste towards the current economy. Whilst I go around making money.
The reason I narrowed down your previous post to one line was quite simple. You spoke of your own faction and then a line or two of general things without much detail. Feel free to delude yourself that I ignored it for another reason, but no.
Obviously, people have different responses, because people have different interactions. (Timezones and all.)
I avoid pirates rather well, I even made a wiki guide, which has been neutered in it's effectiveness by censorship.
I am still trading. I avoid pirates. I make credits. Assume otherwise and delude yourself yet again.
The economy is not as good as it can be, or more appropriately, should be. I stand by this. Profits could use an increase.
As for exaggeration, full cargo demands were considered PVP abuse back in 4.84, and they should still be considered it. Removing the rule has led to excessive demands. Think about it; higher demands in a lower-profit economy.
' Wrote:@n00bl3t: You are probably the only guy who has 2 billion. Now, sarcasm out, if you got caught, A) You didn't do your job well, or B) The pirates did their job really well. Not everybody ask for the whole cargo, not everybody ask for 15 million on a Superconductor trader, so, we don't need a rule to prevent something that is not a problem.
And knowing how you like to argue to the end of times, I'll stop posting here, and leaving you this:
You got pirated for the whole cargo, now dock, log off, Q_Q, get over it, and get trading again, perhapes you will like to hire someone or use an alternative route.
I am not, but eh. (Seems like you are swallowing your words about trading being easy here. Let me know when you make my credits.)
In other words, you got nothing. Eh.
Ignore the issues instead of dealing with it. Oh well, I do suppose you have a lot of trading to do.
I think this thread has gone on for long enough. Both parties should just go back to their respective corners and deal with it. This is a game, nothing more. It does not control your life, the fact that you lost your cargo is not a problem. You can replace it. So you wasted some time? Your playing a game people, one would assume by the fact that you're in game that you have some time to waste.
