Ever since GCs + BDs were based on BAF bases and helped BAF fight KNF back in 4.83 I didn't like these kind of "allies" that come over half sirius.
QCP was in Kusari quite often yes. But that was kind of the main concept of the faction and as long as they were based on reasonable bases (Harris and partly the BMM bases in Tau31) it was kinda ok. Parking on Ainu base which is within few mins flying time from Kyushu was a bit meh though.
More recently we have (sorted according to level of crazyness)
- Hogosha and FA on front lines with KNF.
- Hessians/Unioners on front lines with RM
- Xenos together with LN
I can see all these faction helping the militaries as last resort when the fighting is say above Hamburg/Houston or something like that.
But these factions being on the very front line or even in an attack is too much for me.
Primarily because I can't see the military trusting these factions that try to kill them most of the time. Millitaries would not risk compromising the attack/mission or falling into a trap by taking some "enemies" with them.
So Hogosha between Stokes and Tau31 in Leeds? mhkkay
Hogosha in Dublin ? rather not

That last part there contradicts everything above it.
You don't want the criminal/nationlalistic factions on the front lines, yet you don't mind them being there? Yet you have a problem with them being in Dublin on econimic raids?

Color me confused.
Kusari is preparing the assault on Leeds, so the front line is between Stokes and the planet itself. The area between Stokes and the Tau-31-gate is valid for intercepting blockade-runners for example, that's how I read it.

For those who want to say they shouldn't be in Dublin, all I have to say is Samura and Kishiro are supposed to be there, and anywhere Kusari corporations go, the Hogosha will follow.
Also, I as the Emperor wont be asking them to change, so unless the Admins ask them, or they are breaking rules, it's np np. Dublin is one jump from a dockable base and Kusari territory, there is absolutely no reason they wouldn't be there. It's where the profit is.
Finally Slante said something a few pages back that caught my eye, something about how the Hogosha should run when they see the BAF, and that they are PVP whores because they dont. Every time, and I mean every time I have tried to run from the BAF or BPA, I have been chased until I could get away or died. Once, I had a BPA Hussar literally chase my Hegi about 150k around Dublin, and then all the way to Islay in Edinburgh, he did no damage, and just kept CDing me. I try to flee, he stops me, even though he has no chance at killing me. Yea, keep telling us we should run. It makes me laugh.
The QCP (a cool bunch, come back :() chased my Samura/AFA/Hogosha round New Tokyo occasionally, and more frequently around Kyushu/Tau29 all of which are some way away from Bretonia.
So I feel that there is little issue with the AFA/Hogosha being in Leeds- a system where Kusari has bases.
I see no problem with EITHER scenario.
Dont whine about one and not the other.

I believe he rather meant to suggest that a logical behaviour of an ore extraction expedition in hostile space would be to flee if it cannot fight for it's continued peacefull operation, just like the Liberty Rogues tend to flee from lawfulls when they see them.
On topic:
I really would actually like to see more Kusari ships in Bretonian territory that don't start with IKN or KNF. Sure, occasional raids by anything ranging from fighter to battleship can be fun, but I really think it would spice up the overall feeling if we would get to see for instance:
A Samura Akegata, it's captain and crew nervously waiting for small drones to mine enough golden ore to fill it's hold, in the area mostly populated by hostile gaijin, to return for the greater glory of the Emperor, while a Hogosha fighter squad patrols the area for first signs of trouble, supported by an occasional Corsair Titan, or maybe a Gaian Claymore, being on the spot to make sure that the ecological standards are upheld.
Scrambling in fear every time a guarding ship reports an unknown contact on the scanners, only to reluctantly relax when it is cleared for just another deep space anomaly; running their engines on 110% of rated power, just to give themselves a slim chance of escaping a violent death in vacuum, while their cargo hold is nearly impassable from all the obtained goods to bring back to Kusari workers.
Heh, I'm inspired to write two or three possible scenarios more that are currently running around my head, but I think it would be too much.
Bottom line: come guys, let's play together and have fun!
