"Right, uhh... a cab." He stopped and looked at Davis then continued in a sarcastic tone: "I'll see if i can find one..." Right as Sinclair started moving towards the door his comm started to beep. He fingered it out of his pocket and no sooner had he looked at it, he had a worried expression on his face. "Davis, you know my girlfriend Stella? She is in trouble and since i'm technically of duty I'd like permission to leave."
Without waiting for an answer Sinclair stormed out, almost running. While passing by Clay he hastly said: "I hope you'll soon join our wing again Admiral Clay. Right now i have troubles of my own, i'm sure you're in good hands." With that he was almost already half the way to his Templar.
John just stood there, watching Sinclair leaving so suddenly. "That has to be really urgent, don't you think, Charles?" John went downstairs to the living room, where the entrance to the garden was. Here, his eyes crossed a grand piano. "I've never seen that here before." He sat on the chair, looking at the piano's keyboard. "Let's see if Gods will smile on me tonight."
He started playing, slowly, peacefully. A short intro transforms into a beautiful melody. Ouch, there comes a mistake. Not a problem for John, really. He kept playing, tones were spreading accross whole estate. Peaceful playing slowly changed into strong emotional chords, where all John was trying to get all the emotions away from his head. He played, and played, knowing no end to his song...

As Layla heard the enchanting sound of a far away piano saturating her eardrum she got up and quickly walked towards the building, leaving the baffled and perplex Mike behind. Bewildered and guided by the piano sounds Layla reached the backdoor which was left open. Inside there was John, sitting at the piano. These marvellous notes must come from him. John had never played it outstandingly well but it had always fascinated Layla when he had played. This time however the effect was even greater. The melody contained such an abundance of emotions and depth of profound feelings that it made her shiver and buzzing through every cell of her body. Layla leaned against the backdoor and watched him play from behind, wallowing in these emotions of pure felicity, hoping that this rare moment which never lasted for longer than one minute would never end.
After about a minute, as the rain began to fall, John ended his performance, standing and turning around to see Layla in the doors, and smiled with joy in his eyes. "So... you've come." Then he slowly approached her. "A nice evening, isn't it?" He asked her quietly, staring into her eyes. He stopped about 2 meters from her, waiting what would happen.

Despite her mouth being open, not a single word wanted to slip out of it so she simply nodded slowly, attempting to clutch the echoes of the last notes she still sensed in her ears, or at least pretended to do so. With a snap she shut her mouth and swallowed with a gurgling sound. Turning her head to the side she saw in the corner of her eyes that raindrops had smoothly started to drop onto the stony terrace ground outside the door and a familiar odour tickled her nostrils. "That sound... I've missed it, and it's even more stunning that it used to be.." The almost trance-alike condition of hers which she had been encircled in for the last minute faded away and her legs suddenly felt like pudding. Even her voice almost collapsed and with a wistful gaze at her husband she whispered: "Hon', help m-"
Hon'... Hon'?! Did she say Hon'? John saw Layla was not stable at all, he quickly hugged her, sllipping while doing it, and while struggling to keep himself and Layla on their feet, he managed to get right into the rain. "Oh my... that was close." He then realised he was holding her tight, and slowly getting wet. "The rain is warm. Not bad at all." His mouth approached Layla's ear, whispering. "I love you." With these words, a thunder showed up. John pulled out to look at Layla's face.

It was raining cats and dogs from one moment to the other. Layla didn't mind, at all. Water bedabbled her lips which now approached John's ones and soon, only to be embedded into them soon after. Old, long forgotten memories and sentiments fell over Layla in this moment; it was overwhelming and numbing at the same time. She felt no lesser amount of energy flowing through her than when she did it the very first time.
Thus John and Layla had awakened and reunited again.
Layla plumped on the sofa. The stirring and prickling inside her every time she had been in his presence had revealed itself again, it was like the ultimate satisfaction for her and the final release of all the worries and struggles of the past months. The hilltop was reached and from now on all ran smooth and without major inciting.
After a while of sitting next to each other she asked: "Well, I would like to live with you here again, I will continue serving my homeland.. but what your plans?"
