No, you didn't attack me, you just still felt the need, the urge to repeat the brief story of your character, the changes you made to it, like you still would need to defend it against me while my post wasn't even about that or aimed at you. Do you see now why some people use the word "forcing" or "forced" in this thread?

God, Toris, could you stop? This thread has been intended as a discussion as to why or why not furries should be part of Discovery's RP environment. You keep derailing it by mentioning your own character backstory, your own char, etc etc. You make this look like it's one of your feedback threads. Sure, add ideas why furries should be part of it. Heck, you might even tell us why you insist on RPing furry characters - as the only person posting in this thread that actually RPs furry characters on disco (at least at first glance). You know, contribute something to the discussion instead of trying to placate yourself as the center of attention while completely missing the point. Please keep it on topic.

No, it´s not. Some few furry characters are/were on the server for years and nobody created such amount of threads and discussions, shouted about broken immersion and forced RP and such. People simply didn´t care.

In my opinion this all recent bandwagon is more ooRP related to Torris. He is stubbornly making furry characters despite some players telling him to stop with it, and because he is active they are all around the RP section. This is trigerring the mentioned players (either because of the furry characters or because Torris himself) so they decided to start a crusade to force him to stop. It´s more about him than furries in general. Because - once again - there are less than five players using them, I would say like three actually. What is definitely a number the community should be worried about...

By the way, where were the purging threads when we had all this:

Look, I've lived through =BSG=, Cylons, the Borg, the Ori, actual ghosts, Aztecs, Klingons, the entire cast of Star Fox when we had the Arwing, and countless other imports or breaks to Freelancer lore that I've forgotten by now. And the fur is what we take issue with? Seriously?

-Edit- I forgot Garrus and the rest of the Normandy's crew.

And sidenote, if we are going to forbid everything non-lore/non-vanilla like some suggest, I think there will be even some official factions to be purged then...

I can say for myself that it is not an attack on toris but a general statement being made that if you introduce a new species into the disco environment then do not just go the easy route and say they had a surgery that went wrong or some other thing.

It would not be fair to the other people that did before try to make a completely new alien race. Then comes along some furry fan-boys and they make animals that can talk and fly in ships with with human hands. Pleaseeeee at least respect the process a little and take time to integrate such things better.

And yeah I have always been irked by this... Starting from when I saw a wolf as a rfp officer.
