It's one possible option, but in that case it would be % increase, not just a constant for all.

I tested it and I'd say it would help the balance of VHF/LF :

+300 m/s of all class 8 projectile speed.
+100 m/s for all class 9 projectile speed.
+5% damage for all codies.

I'd like to see 1.4x - 1.5x modifier applied asap to solve the bomber issue once and for all.

I vote yes. It would be useful for escorts, to pew pew the pirate quickly, before it can dodge away and SNAC the trader again.
