Well. Cruisers can speed the same as gunboats right? 130something? I dont see a problem with lowering it, A little...

Normal turrets have a speed of 1000m/s and a range of 1700m.

Razors have a speed of 800m/s and a range of 1500m.

How exactly are the razors more deadly when you're at longer range?

Um, dude, you're mixing your guns up. The LIGHT MORTAR does 140,000 hull damage (150,000 actually), the cruiser razor only does 35,000. It doesnt do 35,000 per second, it does 35,000 per shot, with a refire rate of .25 that's 8,750 damage per second on constant fire.

It would lend a lot of credibility to the argument if you guys could actually use correct numbers.

Even if it is 35k per shot, it is still a lot. I got those numbers from DS so its not my fault at all. And heck, I'm not responsible for knowing all the numbers.

Considering it's meant to be used against small gunboats/gunships and large bombers (all of which have 50-100k armor with upgrades), 35k is not really that much.

Compare it to the supernova 1 shotting a gunship or another bomber whenever you get a lucky shot, that's what we're talking about here.

You don't need to be lucky at all with a velocity of 800ms.

when you're firing from a turret view camera that's 1k out from your ship, on a target that's probably another 1k away from the turret you're firing with, you do.

You cannot compare fighter/bomber weaponry with capship weaponry, they are not used in the same manner. A bomber is firing from the same point of view as his turret, a capship is not.

Bombers need a long recharge time and it is a lot harder to aim a shot in them while you do it much more easily in a turret view provided by your cruiser. With much more arch angle as well.

Alright. This does NOT seem like a balance issue to me at all, but a BUG.


How the hell, please explain to me, does a 35,000 damage weapon kill a 50,000 hull bomber in one shot? Saying "I don't know, I just saw it happen" doesn't cut it. Figure out what the bug is, and fix it. Nothing needs to be nerfed.

Reminds me of the old infocard bug for the Mining Ship. In the vendor window it would say 216000 hull. You would buy it and it would be magically reduced to 86000.
