Of course the Zoners know about the Corsair alliance. I posted it on Zoner general comms as soon as I was told about in, in character and in system chat at Crete, as you pointed out. I have screenshots of _that_, at least.
How do you suggest I roleplay a Zoner in a transport against a friggin' Cruiser? Of course the server rules will protect me, but that's not really in-rp, is it? The only option is to flee and run, every time. Then server rules keep me out of my delivery to that Freeport since the system is off limits, and I'm left to dock and log off.

I've said it before, and I'll repeat it - if Zoner powertraders is the problem, nerf the ID.
To be clear, I won't go out of RP if I happen on a harvey, but I am no longer giving an inch but the server rules. On Tradin'Seb, which is my _only_ trading char, I have ~80M, and I have never ever had more than 120M, since I don't do powertrading. I do exploring, and supplies for Freeports, or Canaria when I'm running out of cash. However, doing those long hauls ain't that fun any more, since I run into a harvester, run, and then I'm cut off.
I'm not asking to be left alone. I've been pirated, bullied, and shot to scrap twice by various mavericks (and once when I stumbled into a guard system). But I'm no longer interested, oorp, of this brainchild of Scorstar that has overshadowed all Zoner rp.
If the Zoners do what you want, and actively seeks protection from allies and enter a 'war' of sorts, the Zoners are, as I said, just another trader faction. The Zoners function, not because they are neutral but because they have, and I say this again, economic and logistical power. You have created from thin air an enemy that is immune to those powers (Harvesters apparently don't need Deut), and so, forcing the Zoners to transform into - just another trader faction.
In-rp, of course we should do this, should do that. Out of roleplay, I have no desire to see the Zoners become a carbon copy of any other trader faction.
Still, if there are less Zoner posers around now, that is a service to the community. I appreciate that it took time and skill to build the RP around the Harvesters. I understand that it is not easy, seeing that many see you as free targets.
It's just that I don't care anymore. Too long, too much. You have made it into all about you.
I'll reiterate:
- If Zoner powertraders are the problem, nerf the ID.
- This is killing the chance to play a Zoner as depicted in game, and making them into an image of everybody else. You have taken it upon yourselves to change what the Zoners are.
- By doing this, you are in a very real way trampling all over what I found was the most enjoyable part of this game - playing a Zoner. Trader. Explorer. Goofball.
Since nobody cares either way, I'll just step out here. I've said my piece three times, I think.

Now, as to the TAZ-bashin', and havin' a go at old Mal here.. I'm not gonna grace any of it with a response. The TAZ are a great bunch. They don't really care to control the Zoner world, we just wanna have some fun.
I made the mistake of indulging in Zoner and Sirius politics.. not the TAZ. And, they are free to RP with the Harvesters if they wish to. "We must all stick apart." is still a Prime Discordian Catma.
Well, no more politics for this old fart. And no more validating someone else's raison de etre either. Scorn, if it hadn't been for my participation in your "RP", you'd still be five ships.. three of 'em your own. And now you're miffed because I'm bored with it. Wah.
One last matter. Tell me about your RP in bringing a hostile capship into a hostile system, and then logging off there. It stinks. If you have some idea of RPing getting your juggy's "brain" back, hell, just tell me. As I posted before, I'll return Pyrial/Scorn, and we'll be done with it. Or, if you prefer, the immense energies of the Goddess Geode just fried every circuit on your stupid ship, and it's a dead hulk. Either way, I want it gone.
THis is RP. Everything is out of thin air. It's not all about me if it were I could move on and live life on these forums easier. Its about everyone. This story is in manys stories, this faction has 14 members, with more waiting to join. Other factions have established RP with this one. If I just disappear and let you trade in piece then there will be big RP holes in alot of the peoples stories here.

If you violate a rule against a Harvester and, the player feels it needed. Then it will be reported. I think baseless accusations are hurtful and wrong. We will only complaint about those with screen shots in hand.

Well I have seen people say that harvesters are infringing on their RP or forcing them into a style they don't like. Well this happens quite a bit on Disco.
BLS - smuggle our cardimine join us or get blown up (well you can pay us 20 mil a month also).
RM - independent battleships are banned from our space.
Farmers Alliance - junkers are banned from kusari and kos.
Can I ignore the above RP rules?

Will the groups above react with hostility of I do?

I have not been on this server long but I see this quite a bit. Its allowed and accepted. So we have the harvesters that have made a good RP story and are trying to play it out. But now people are tired of it an want them to stop.
Well if the three groups I listed above can ban and threaten people why can't the harvesters continue their RP?

Hmm throwing stones are we now? I don't remember pointing fingers or targeting anyone specifically. I was only stating what i have seen by the way most Zoners act, or should i say, DONT ACT in reference to the harvesters.
The clue, i have allready gotten, is very clear from TAZ. Its even stated on thier faction listing.

#1. I create a non-TAZ Zoner. I have a friend who is a Corsair. A fight breaks out at the Theta hole in Gamma, i jump in to help my friend ONLY because i see the Corsairs as being somewhat allied to Zoners because of the Order. The Corsairs even warned me to stay out of it, that i would be destroyed, but i will help my friends. My decision, My mistake, and I alone payed the price for it. Later on the forums, TAZ sides with the Outcast/Hessians about it and ask me to give up my ID and Ship. It isnt very Neutral to side with Outcasts on a Zoner issue now is it?
I won't even go into how oorp/bullying this was. In the end that char got deleted. Over and done.
#2. To try to make up for that (i shouldnt have even bothered), I create a Bounty Hunter and base him on Canaria to HELP the TAZ with the Harvesters, thier response. I could stay there, but was ordered to stay out of it (long term) as TAZ could defend themselves rather than pay someone.
So i gave up on the Zoners because they can't even decide amongst themselves who or what they are or what they stand for besides, nothing.
So the clue persay is real plain for all to see. TAZ don't want anything to do with having to make a real decision or fight for themselves, and apparently they arent even willing to PAY someone to fight for them anymore. No one is forcing the Zoners to do anything, but maybe act like a real faction by making hard decisions and standing up for themselves and for what they believe in. You don't get economic and logistical power by being neutral and hiding in the shadows, you get it by creating alliances (GMG/ORDER) or having a military (Zoner Guard). Period.

No personal offence Mal, it's just kinda hipocritical to create a faction (a group of people who believe in the same things) that's main goal is to be submissive, neutral, and NOT fight for the things they believe in. Then to complain or step down when someone see's you as weak and turns you into a target. It's just sad man. I tried to help and as a whole, the faction refused it. I was even going to do it for FREE just to be able to live on Canaria. Oh well.

Well I don't think approved factions should trod on others but I respect this: When/if the Harvesters reach that status, then I may recant and feel obligated to play with 'em.
I personally have found the Harvester RP interesting. It's new, it's well done, great plot, and pretty good execution. All-in-all, it's great.
Here's a problem for you though...you can't force people to RP with you. Unfortunately, this is the case, but it's a case that can be bent in various different ways, since you can pursue or chase the person about.
From what I can see, the TAZ can use a bit of a break.
Remember that they are not a combat-oriented faction, and respect the fact that their RP is different from yours. The Harvesters more or less need the TAZ to continue their RP.
The way I see it, the Harvester RP is like Jalapano peppers in your salsa. Having them occasionally is awesome, but having it every day is painful and tiring.
Harvesters, please understand this from the TAZ's PoV. These guys didn't join the TAZ to RP with the Harvesters. What I recommend is that you guys cut down on the ingame activity, and slow everything down a bit.
Then again, this is just an outsider's opinion. Take it, or leave it.
