You might see the pattern that usually they are just thoughtless and more often they do not care about the lore or RP
since they just want flying around and blast everything 'red' on scanner ( accordance with their principle "red is dead" )

So IMHO the only change that Coalition ID needs is the line which define that they might help civilians in trouble.
( as it was stated many times before - there will be no revolution if they will not get any support from civilians )
No capital ships for indie players - if You want that capital ship so much go join SCRA.

Well you can't realy judge it like that. The Houses have indies that fly Capships too, so at least there is something to shoot at. Also the Coalition by itself is a remnant of an own House, let alone a whole Union, maybe it's smaller now but it carries on the spirit of a Government.

So I think why not allow it to indies, as I said limitting them to maybe Omegas only or at some point even allow them expand into Rheinland and Bretonia, if they're behaving well. So just asking about the Typhoon, the Carrier is a special perk for the official faction.

I mean seriously like I said maybe either that line which defines that they can help civilians or giving them access to Typhoons so they can at least reasonably hit the Law Enforcement (Bretonia and Rheinland) instead of just limited to Gunboats.

So yeah, either that line getting changed or something or the way it would make sense would be letting them use a Typhoon. I mean I'm not even saying "Cruisers" just add "and Typhoon". If you're limited to engage only Law enforcement, militaries then seriously let them have the Typhoon so it somewhat motivates someone to at least fly on a Coalition ID even. With its current form, many get bored quite quickly because of how limited it is.

A new ship class does not change how attractive ID is because the role of ID remains the same.

The Typhoon is a cruiser vessel and cap class ship, so what's the difference between Typhoon and the Carrier ? One is 11 gun and another 32 guns. But my mind keeps telling me Coalition just want pew! No more rp we are at 'war'

If you let them use Typhoon simply people with start shooting everything whatever they can get on the scanner, It is much better as it now so you can get new members. Even if SCRA really want to add Typhoon in indie ID, then don't let it go in House space. A lot trader is going to die I assume. You know the reason. And Typhoon is not broken it is already balanced.

A lolwuyt is a lolwut no matter if he's flying a transport or a cruiser.

Only reason why there's the stigma with caps is because the ships have the capacity to cause more damage. Hence why they'd be limited in the Omegas. ID lines like that already exist on the Core and Order IDs, and they do their job fine.

The drawbacks to the ID are naturally the very few allies and thus places to dock (on that note, a hostile or no-dock Zoner rephack would be alright I suppose) and ship types to bring to fights. - Cannot use any transports with more than 4,300 cargo.
- Cannot participate in unlawful actions except as described above.

Allowed ships: Fighters, Freighters, Transports, Gunboats

My proposal ID Wrote:Pilot carrying this unlawful ID is a member of the Coalition, who:

- Can attack any ship in self-defense or to protect an allied or neutral ship ships.
- Can attack unlawfuls, quasi-lawfuls and ships which belong to a house or organisation considered hostile by the Coalition, except transports

I actually really like and support this idea, although I still don't think the indie ID needs to be allowed Cruisers and Battleships. The other proposed changes are awesome though and I think would be a benefit to the mod and the prevalence of Coalition flavored RP in the mod.

To be fair yeah. Coalition has a plethora of allies that can support it outside of house space with Capital ships. It's not like Noms who have to fend for themselves.

the Phoon has 9 guns mate. XD not 11. It's a Destroyer (which usually only have 9 while Cruisers usually have 10 and above). Wink

I mean seriously guys... Just now had an encounter with the Corsair playerbase and if we want real awesome fights we would like to keep up with factions that have their indies use Caps, so we ourselfs would offer indies access to Typhoon but limited to Omegas. At least for the Core/Corsair/Alien playerbase that linger around, especially Sairs are alot around here.

Limit the ID to use Typhoons only in Omegas. as lyth said, the Core and Order ID has it perfectly implemented, so the same can be done for Coalition ID.
