Obviously I can understand that certain systems are going to go away due to various things, including guard systems.
But what exactly are the plans for the bases and fields that were in Omega-15 and Omega-56? We've invested lots of RP and a big chunk of our lore is based upon those two systems.

As far as I'm aware they're just being renamed and being moved slightly in the jumphole network.
EDIT: Okay, uh, O-56 is being moved way the heck away so, uh... Make something up?
"The Core decided to move their centre of operations to somewhere actually near where they are supposed to be operating and have a desire to control."
I think it could work.

The base in Omega-15 is being repurposed into a new BHG base in Saar. It will no longer be a guard system.

So....
This is right, yus?
I would think it would be. Aside from blind jumping, is this a viable way to reduce the size of the mod without actually removing anything and blowing up everyone's computers in disco raeg?
My idea would be to move bases to a temporary system with an undock point set to drop you in front of the nearest base of the same faction. That way you can remove the system without killing a bunch of accounts.

Well, yes and no - we've also been colonizing Delta, too, you know...
Figuring out where all the bases are / are going to be when you don't have a lot of time to dig into things is a pain, in case anyone cares...

yes, i think the core gets a note that they made / make effords to establish a small outpost
the RP you showed was a bit too far fetched ( judging by the images and desire ) - so no full fletched colonization. - only houses can really terraform planets for full scale colonization and it takes decades.
all other factions must rely on a lucky find of a goldilock planet - and delta does not possess such a planet - or the factions before the core would have made planetfall already - seeing that both, zoners and corsairs would have welcomed a planet that sustains more them in a profitable way.
but nothing is lost - as it was said - some bases are moved to more logical locations. the old idea of the core producing their ships at liberty yards and taking the alaska route ( as igiss had intended ) cannot be held up these days anymore of course.
