Sorry to be so radical, but every faction must be proud of their tech and use it 100%. It's RP game here. However, indies and FL should mix in free will fashion. They should buy their stuff here and there, like we buy cars, tires, wipers, filters...
[7/10/2013 10:47:02 AM] aerelm: you're no longer a closed faction, so you can't close your tech
That's what I told you on Skype, however, let me clarify something as it seems a lot of people are confused about this - The version of the technerf I'm getting ready for the initial release is for "Discovery Lore" (For the lack of a better wording) and not for Discovery GC server. In other words, I'm taking care of the "raw" form of technerf until the final release and trying to make it suit both faction diplomacies and ingame balance, but from there on it'd be up to each server's admins team to decide how should the technerf be implemented in their server.
My suggestion would be waiting until the initial release then taking your request to the admins. If they see fit, they'll adjust the Coalition tech cells on GC according to the Coalition faction roleplay present in this server. Until then, however, since your faction is no longer closed you'll be gettin the default tech cells of an open faction based on your diplomacy.
P.S: If the new system gets ready in time for the initial release, Coalition tech will be incompatible with the tech from colonies, as stated in the infocards, which means even if you/your allies share a cell, neither side can use mixed combos, and would have to pick between either a coalition gear or a colony gear.
Honestly I'm not against the SCRA using only SCRA gear and people not using SCRA gear if not SCRA. But this sounds odd to me that we're going right back at what it was before the technerfs with many major factions around blocking tech for outsiders.
And it strikes me with a laugh to see people complying about other people not asking for their tech while the whole asking part was, basically, amputated.
smooth.
Also I expect SCRA to drop the civilian\borderworld as well.
How about you stop you making demands for us dropping something just because you dont like it? Our Ossies is longer in SCRA then you joined Disco (as by your forum acc). Show respect to old ones, will you?
Aerelm: Yea I got your point here. Making indie ID was really bad idea, it havent brought us any use, only problems. Our indies just not around, our allies abuse Coalition ID for repping their ships to free get our tech, that broke our rights to control our faction as a whole. If we could - Id delete Coalition ID and be done with it.

So no more KalashOdins or Storms with RH guns? Cant wait for that. Is someone will take our Insurgent and place there our guns - he will get ~67% Core, which makes using our toys hard for outsiders. That is really something I would love to see if we cant get red cell for everyone.
Edit:

I've always seen the SCRA as an extremely paranoid organisation (inRP of couse). Having total control of your tech is the only sensible course I can see.
It should be noted that the only reason we have Borderworld technology at 90% is because we're getting the BWT sold at Mykolaiv for use in our supply division.
As for us getting rid of our Osiris's, that's ridiculous, They're under SRP ID's anyway and their existence is non-negotiable.

Yea, I have to agree 100% with JayDee on this.
