Tenacity, one advice.
Try to finish one model before introducing us with another.
At the moment you have 11 (at least what I counted on two pages) models and none is finished.

I really can't give an opinion before the ship is actually textured.

Also, 4.85 is pretty close, and there's no way all these ships are going in, so you need to make a choice.
Texture and finish 1 or 2 of these ships and submit them.

Also, there might be a possibility that you'r making all these models just to practice.
If that is the case then I salute you. Go ahead, there's no way to become good unless you try first.
But if you are hoping to submitting them all, I think you are a bit wrong.

Not flaming mate, just being honest.

The raw concept is not bad, but I really can't comment until I see the texture.

Can't let you bash folks in your sig Chopper-Del

Come ON! That is WAY too sexy to just..throw away. There has to be SOMEWHERE we can stick that in... Maybe we can make an instant Mk II of something.:P

EDIT: I KNOW! We can make it an Order Not as Heavy Fighter!

While being quite funny, your sig was the biggest one i've ever seen so far. No more than 700x250 please. ~utrack

most of the original models I did wont make it into the mod anyways, I dont expect them to... like I said, these are for practice and so I can get an idea of what the other players here are looking for in a ship.

Also, I dont have anything that can import the freelancer texture files, so I cant texture anything myself.

EDIT:

One thought... this could be a good replacement for the talon as an agile VHF, since the talon doesnt have a really good model yet.

EDIT2:

I'm having jazz send me the nephthys textures so I can attempt to texture this thing. I'd like to get it in as a replacement for the Talon VHF - any comments on changes to the model?

If it does replace the talon a few stats will need to be changed... It'll have to have it's armor reduced and turn speed increased to match the size of the ship. Right now the talon is a slow hunk of junk but has quite a bit of armor - it also has 6 level 10 gun hardpoints, which somewhat balance out the slow turning.

If it is a replacement, the gun hardpoints cant be changed, but the other stats can.

Ok, so I figured out what the 'ink and draw' texture option does.

here's one with some 'real' textures, though they still arent the freelancer textures, still waiting on jazz to send them to me.

yea it's a horrible texture job, I need to get ahold of turkish and have him tell me how to apply textures to faces instead of full objects >.<

I'm 2 years rusty with 3ds max, I just got the program back this week. Even two years ago I didnt know how to do most of the stuff the program is capable of.

So what do you think about this as a replacement model for the Talon?
