Wheee...
This explain it good i guess hehehe. But I think, in battles with more than 4 vs 4, Ships involved in the battle should can reengage after die ONLY 1 time.
For example, lets take the last example:
B1 die. So B1 can reengage in combat and keep assisting their allies. If B1 die again... then the main rule (2 hours out) keep on.
If after B1 reenter and A1 die... the same, but ONLY 1 time.
I think this would be fun, just for create a new strategic in both sides.
Anyway, i think the rule is good now, but not much opportunities for smaller combat ships.
Quote:If you are killed or docked whit trader ship you can't engage the player who killed you or force you to dock.
So, essentially a docked trade ship is the same as a dead trade ship. Sure...you may have saved your load of goods...but at what cost? You're stuck being docked until the pirate is killed or leaves the area. Or...you are forced to switch chars and do something else? It's basically a situation that plays heavily in favor of the pirate and punishes the trade ship for escaping!
If you are docked(trader) without been killed you can continue whit your business..
just you should not be allowed to swich to let's say some other more powerfull ship and than go and kill the player thet force you to dock.
In this game few things are in favor of pirat....
If I(pirate) engage trader and he kills me I can't return or reengage..that's ok np np
But what about trader?? 5k transport full whit comodity whit basic price 200sc or less...you lose only 1m sc and some time if you are killed and you can continue your business like nothing is ever happened.
Soo let's talk about situations that favor pirate!?!
In Transport vs Pirate situation, running and docking has always been considered a WIN in terms of PvP. This is because most transports are essentially helpless against more dangerous combat craft (especially Bombers, GB, and Cruisers). (Those are ALSO examples of things being more in a pirate's favor)
Quote: If you are docked(trader) without been killed you can continue whit your business..
Not necessarily if the pirate is camping outside the place you docked at and you are not at your final destination.

Depends on the commodity, how much the Trader paid for the commodity, how far the Trader has flown or has to fly to get his desired price, and if you ARE killed...you can't re-enter that system again for 2 hours (which for some is all of their available playing time for a day). So, there could be a LOT at stake for the trader in this encounter.
I kinda already talked about this in a different thread, but I just think this situation seems to more heavily favor a pirate in that the outcome for a Trader is the same whether he escapes, pays a pirate, or is killed. He's in a lose-lose-lose situation, unless his only goal is to save his cargo and then log onto a different ship for 2 hours (or just log off for the day).
But, as I also stated, the solution to this problem also lies in simply having escorts and convoying. Sucks for the lone trader trying to make money, though.

Pretty much this.
Yes, and didn't we want PVP fights to end faster?
