My view to the Inferno Cap Turret, they are useless, there are just to slow to hit anything on a wide range, but since it is the only weapon of that kind it is free for all. I prefer the normal Turrets, and Liberty is owner of the one, that is simply the best for an Battleship.

So stick to youre RP and lay off other factions weaponary...:rtfm::nono:
Liberty can't stand when other faction pwn's them to dust....:nyam:
HAA !! to bad you did not see the fight in NY yesterday, i think 7 Gunboats (did not count the exactly number) destroyed everything that looks like a navy ship on their scanners,
even Cruisers, so you see an Capship is not always the best choice.... :nono:

May not make much sense but getting rid of them from some factions would cause a lot of complaining about balance. Logic wise however, Liberty and the other houses ought to have their own specialised weaponry. Unfortunately they have nothing currently, so they need to use weapons such as the Inferno.
The big battlecruisers and battleships have nothing to do with the use of foreign weapons, merely how much people in Liberty like their capital ships.
No is not i talkd with some 101 outcast they said that Inferno's are outcast weapons only them and "OUCAST" allies can use them no one else. if liberty dont have anti-shield that there problem they have to come up with a stratagy to beat rogues,LH,molly, corsair + outcast
Don't mix fighter class weapons and the capital weapons. Nowadays most factions have a complete line of fighter weapons, that's why it's unacceptable for a Corsair fighter class ship to mount the fighter version of the Inferno Cannon, or for a Rheinland Military fighter class ship to mount the Corsair shield busters. There's a suitable (?) option for everyone. For everything else there are the codename weapons that are (after a fashion) pretty much generic.
Now, capital ship class weapons are another story. Most factions don't have a complete weapon line for capitals and it's been agreed by the community that these weapons are free to use until some balance and wide representation can be reached. Of course, if your faction has the class of weapon you're willing to mount, you shouldn't be using equivalents from another faction just because they're slightly better. For example, I'm not going to mount Bretonian standard turrets in my cruiser just because I think they're slightly stronger than the Rheinlander ones.
This is a no-brainer, really. It's the same with the armor upgrades and the supernova. If you ignore everything and just look at the infocards, there would only be Order ships flying around in the server, but a compromise has been reached allowing these weapons to everyone until suitable alternatives for the factions are made.
EDIT: So, yes, the capital version of the Inferno is acceptable outside of Alpha.
It depends who you talk to. They are universal weapons though mainly.
The reason why inferno cannons etc are universal is because people complained about it being unbalanced. This is an easier and better solution, even if it isn't very RP.
Liberty shouldn't be encountering any corsairs btw or Mollys. Rarely maybe since Mollys are allied to the Rogues etc but corsairs would be taking big risks.

Kingvaillant is also tired of people saying that bombers are OORP, supernova are OORP, cap weps are OORP, multi-clanning players are OORP, etc ,etc ,etc, etc,

Only certain capship weapons are universal, i.e. only those for which there are no suitable weapons amongst your own choice, for example the inferno capship turret, dragonflys are used almost eclusively by the BD as every faction can use basic missile turrets, Nomad turrets should be used only by the Keepers, Corsair turrets only by Corsair and aligned factions, Outcast turrets by Outcast and aligned factions and so on. If you see a Liberty Cap with Outcast turrets or Corsair turrets that is OORP, but if you see a Lib cap with inferno turretes just presume that it is the Liberty version of the same weapon.
