In fact Armor upgrades also increase effectivity of Nanobots. With a battleship or a large transport that 0.2 multiplier can mean a real difference. Cau8 saved my life like 4 times. If I had cau7 then I would have been dead. And it matters to me.
On another note, the 895 M price is really overpriced for the extra protection it gives from cau7 but it gives you that 'I've done everything to protect my vessel. I am ready! ' feeling.
No faction flagship could be imaginable without a Cap8. I am looking at you, VR.

Can someone please calculate how much demage is needed to destroy 60k ship with 50k shild with 240bots/bats if you have Cau7 or if you have Cau8 on that ship?
Also I have to ask something about shields too.
We have 3 different kind of medium shields for small transport.
I can see difference in shield hit points ((35k, 50k), 100k)

without any armour, bots are worth 600 hull and bats are worth 300 shield
with cap 8, bots are worth 2400 armour and bats 1200 shields
if a battleship has 1,350,000 HP without armour, with cap 8 it will have 5,400,000 HP. with cap 7 it will have 5,130,000, so 270,000 hull or roughly 2-3 snacs
