' Wrote:Okay first off, you'll have exactly the same trouble with the pirate ID, as no ID states you can demand credits, it's always cargo.
As such cargo/credits are interchangeable on the ID. You can do as you want with the Junker ID.
Secondly Rogue relations with the junkers are not so cordial we will simply allow you to wander off and use our tech. The GB is solely Rogue kit despite only being sold on a Molly base. Ergo I'd like to see any Gunboats authorized for use, requested from the Rogues. Seeing as the relationship between Junkers and Rogues is mutually beneficial, I don't see a problem authorising it. This is more for RP regarding diplomacy rather than an attempt to restrict the GB. Culebra is an exception as his is already authorised.
Sorry Del, missed your post--had meant to put in there that all Gunboats must be obtained through role play with player members of the appropriate faction--regardless of which they are. I'll go back though and make sure its clear and/or amend. That's the reason rank is tied to ship type. We can make sure no one just runs amuck with us having no idea and we can double check their rp.
On the Junker ID it states, "can scan other ships and demand cargo". I have not played a "pirate id" in some time and it does indeed say the same. Removed and simpler now.
I've always liked this idea and hope it succeeds. I'm no good at editing faction proposals so I'll leave that to the experts.
I would like to offer my services as a Bertonian Junker as the Adjudicator of Traflagar. No I'm not a member of the Congress but I have worked with several congressmen in the past and on trade runs. Traflagar is my home (if I ever get around to writing the RP story...). Let's talk fellow Junkers.
You know the idea of this faction has my support. (The previous one anyway - i don't know what's changed in this one.)
I will read through later and comment.
I also reserve my decision to join for a later date until I"m sure I want to do that. For now I remain an independent Junker.

You do realize that the Armored Transport has more cargo space and firepower than any Freighter, right? I'd think the AT would be on Third rank and Freighters on Second...
Quote:- Waran Bomber
- Pirate Hessian Cruiser (Sixth Rank is required for operation of a cruisers and is reserved for the Base Adjudicators and Directors only. Limited to Pirate Hessian Cruiser.)
To the first, I'm sorry to hear that.
Seriously, that ship's ugly.
To the second, I think you meant Rheinland Pirate Cruiser. Well, that, or Red Hessian Cruiser, but that seemed rather unlikely.

Thanks--good spot on the cruiser, my bad. (lack of sleep here!)
I put the AT up their as it is an alternative "fighter" for those who wish to pirate or trade but have to fight too. It is also a good escort if properly equipped. The point of the rank/ship restrictions isn't to grind new members just to make sure we see what they do before we turn them lose so to speak. But...I actually like the idea better now that you said it and will change it that way.
Rank 1 is quickly passed by any but the absolute rawest of new players. It's simply a speed bump for "When can I have a cap ship?" mindsets and a decent training ship in NY when you start.

Hi Ross.
My very original intent was to actually have the Congress officers be from other groups as well as our own and that is what I still would love to do. The basis that would work on would be a political one which requires voting. I still want to make that happen.
The faction structure for the game is a little awkward with this concept--we need tagged, identifiable members to be a faction (as I understand it). Originally, I had only wanted my own "Junker Guards Party" and elected officials to carry the .:j:. tag but to be a "visible and active faction" that's not entirely practical.
But to make the democratic vision of Tinkerbell "real", having non Congressmen in elected positions would be great. It also allows areas to develop local flavor, "Oy! That 'judicator at Trafalgar is an arse! Did ye 'ere the crappy deal he's proposin' for docking fees!? Crimey!"
But faction structure requires leadership and responsibility for the actions of the faction. People have to be fully accountable for the deeds of their group and that's a bit hard if people aren't in the group. If we can make it work, elected officers will have to abide by the Congress rules until they resign or are voted out. The new tagging system makes this more plausible. But their role play could be as a political party. It can be a bit complicated so I want to get the nuts and bolts in place first. Perhaps after we have been active awhile, this can be adapted (I'm shooting for it down the road).
In the future, I'd like to see the "Junkers Guard party" be one group in the Junker Congress that operated a military/defense wing and have other groups elected into positions--having regular sessions of Congress to vote people in and out, censure, reward, etc. Would be real fun.
Let me get started and we can go from there. Traflagar isn't the hub of incredible business at the moment and it would be good to see people active there.
