ENTRY: Daily Report

Started off my night by travelling under an incognito name to the Omicrons, in hope of finding the Order. It was to our estimation that we can start some kind of… relation to them. Only in hopes of them leaving us alone. I still don’t like them.

Either way, the point was to make them think we’ve ‘converted’ for the better, so we can act as a bridge between the Core and the Order, should we ever need to resort to combat against the Nomads. Unfortunately, by the time I met one of their personnel, a Core raid was ongoing. First, to build up their trust, I offered my help to them, only upon the condition that they will allow themselves to talk to me in the future. They accepted.

At first, the Core brought a load of capital ships and then decided to go away to bring fighters. Nodtviet was there too. I also noticed Enma was part of the attacking force too, so I kept in contact with her, promising that we shall not harm each other, I also promised to aid in her escape.

It appears that they were really interested in Enma for some reason. Perhaps it was because of their maltese origin, like I previously mentioned. Either way, I went on to contact her.

This was when the Core attack squad pulled back and started to retrieve their fighters.

Being forewarned by Emna, we awaited for them. They took an awful while too, I am unsure why. Though, while waiting, I noticed that Recon Cruiser had Blood Dragon Turrets, eh. I guess their relationship was always a healthy one, unsurprisingly, that Daimyo lied.

Either way, the Core arrived with the mediocre pilots of their organisation, so I’m not quite sure what they’re expecting.

And with that, they were all dead. I tractored what pods were remaining, before the Order could. Or at least what I could. Enma cloaked away and I ensured her escape, the Jump Hole was clear and I gave her the green to go.

We meet up at Freeport 11 to have a casual talk, and to relax a bit. Nothing much notable here but besides the fact that I actually shot Nodtviet.

Anyway. After our small talk, I just had a quick nap on my ship. What a surprisingly tiring night.

So, I woke up, and had a nice peaceful flight back to the ‘Eido, and it appears that Sanae left a message on ERIDANIUS,

Kusari Naval Forces are really too nosey for my own liking, fools don’t know their place. Either way, the show must go on. We’ll return back to the Independant Worlds.

I don’t know how long we have as a timescale to get the Wraith properly fixed up, but as they say...

ENTRY: Visions

Pain... Fear... Fate?

Visions of Crete have been reoccuring to me, with a twist. A spectral demon, cursing it's vivid dark veins through the dust and sand of the dunes of Crete. Killing people with it's spines, corpses everywhere. A cloud of death trails it, everything was so cold, so real, it was like a tickle of guilt running down my spine spreading throughout my body. It was unbearable. It hurt, my mind felt like it was getting compressed heavily, I tried my best to crawl to it, to see its true face, but I always fail...

I don't know why I keep dreaming of the dunes of Crete, is it a mental reflection of my past actions? Am I being punished? Is it a warning? Is it foresight? It bothers me, and might possibly hinder my performance in the long run.

Though, I couldn't help notice that more and more Nomads are appearing as of the late...

We sought out to Liberty after seeing abnormal signatures. We meet them. We presented little hostility, knowing it was useless in this scenario.

Gods amongst men.

They seem confident that our species is born to be ignorant, that exceptions are rare amongst us, despite our individuality. Throughout this, I grew more and more curious, for what appeared to be an omnipotent entity, it had rather... personal opinions. One thing during this encounter that I particularly noticed, the entity didn't seem to be affecting my mind, and that ERIDIAN could just barely 'hear' it. We tried to learn more about it, scanning the energy fields around us, trying to analyse what it was composed of. Unfortunately, that foolish Navy attempted to harm it - being the primitive minion that it is, upholding it's "laws"

The entity retreated. Despite this, we still got some data on it. Who knows where it'll appear again? Perhaps it was learning of the wars? Looking for weaknesses? I've also noted some encounter I had in Delta, where one of the elders gifted me some pilots that they've retrieved... They said something about always 'changing' - always 'evolving' - Could this be linked to the observer I saw?

I don't know.

Time will tell... But how much time will we have?

After briefly watching the Core raid Omicron Alpha in relative safety, since the Maltese were distracted, I went back to Barrier, and: Hey-suprise! Carter was there, and he followed me all the way. God damnit.

Great, well, he's going to try to talk to me and generally annoy me with his existance for a while now. Ugh... Oh well.

I'll just go for a quick sip and leave before he finds me. I really need to get back to organising our operations on the Eidolon for the upcoming movement, it might attract some attention, so we gotta sort out the defences I guess.

Another visit by the 'grand spiritual watchers' in Kyushu today. I was talking with the KNF briefly after visiting Alpha with Ori, and it just suddenly appears out of nowhere. What do they want? It's suprising how incredibly close it got though. It still highly reminds me of my nightmares sometimes.

After the KNF hilariously attempted to harm it, all shots just 'went through' it, like if it was nothing - then it seemed to have concluded what it desired to say at this scenario, and just cloaked away...

I still don't understand how it's communicating. Is it through energy? Through manipulating the sound waves? It doesn't feel like telepathy. But is there there really hope for the aliens? Do they truly have the ability to reason beyond their mechanical logic? The monsters made to kill.

I've tried to somewhat 'befriend' this younger Nomad, which is apparently nicked as T. In hopes that I can inspire 'their' generation to process and perceive things differently, the young one shows effects of always desiring to learn, to just infinitively grab information where possible. Maybe it's a kind of genetic defunction for their younger ones to have reasoning? Or maybe it's because it's not really "hooked up to the machine" - that is their mindshare.

What is it that they truly want? They always seem to claim the same thing. That hostilities are made within the past, and that Humanity appears to be repeating their mistake? Mistake of what? Surrendering? To allow ourselves to come to reason, instead of them to open up?

I'm truly wondering if this 'war' against the Nomads will ever truly end. Perhaps it won't.

Perhaps there are no Nomads, but rather, THE Nomad...? Now that's an interesting theory. What if those creatures, they all have one mind yet... supposedly they all have different feelings. That they're all just puppets of one being, than a mind? Now that would be an interesting theory, as those Morphlings seem to have a drastically different emotion and mental mind.

Though. That also support my other thought that those 'eyes' are actually... part of the omnipotent entity behind them. If I were to design the perfect being, I would definitely create the specie to be infinitive, united, adaptive, quick, fast, observant and knowledgable. And so what? For superiority, what is it worth? Is it to keep the balance? Is it to guard something? To invade? I hope that isn't the case for the Nomads. I've heard things about the ruins on Pygar and in Omicron Major of their hibernation and infestation of Rheinlanders. Should pay a visit sometime.

I'd like to theorise that all Nomads have a 'hook' to their so called Mindshare, that the young ones don't have that hook developed. Hence why the one known as T grew up to be something else, uploading that data that it learned to that network they were 'hooked' into. I have yet to see an 'unhooked' Nomad, I wonder if it's even possible to split them from their network by force?

Or what if they were all truly individuals? I've spoke with some of my crew from the Science department, they find my speculation interesting. Though, some of it just find it amusing and outright impossible. They're probably right though...

There's not really a lot of evidence upon them, but that was my quick show off to them. It's somewhat too bad that I lost my sabre in the Omicrons when I was in Core, it would have had a nice amount of datalogs, ah well. I suppose my memory will do.

I've been mentally tired on this night, my learners in our tutor sessions have learned well. For now, we are studying upon these xenobiologtic relations and combat sequences based upon reaciton. We're analysing how different species form connections and bonds between each other, from human cultures to nomads and to robotics, and how to combat manipulation while keeping aware of the scenario, how your pose can affect the outcome of a fight, etcetra. After such an encounter with the spirital entity, I've been wondering. What makes something innocent? When is something wrong? A matter of perspective, but, are we the innocent yet deadly? Hm. I should study more upon the subject of the K'Hara, but later.

Hrmph... - this is slightly hurting my head to think about. Sometimes I question why I went this way with my life, and went down this path to inevitable death. Eh. I guess being an actor would have been the same.

Well, I promised Ori to make her dinner, and she came up to me, saying that she is ready to risk her tastebuds on my cooking mastery. It's chemistry but easier.

I'm going to show her my work from my study sessions. I hope she likes Synthetic Chicken with a blast of seasoning, I also prepared a tripple synth gel chocolate gelato dessert for her. It's going to be a delight. I haven't cooked for anyone in ages, I'm excited for this.

He made us go to the Shrine, to tell us something. Instead, he gave me and Chris an artifact and activated it by surprised.

Dear lord. The pain. My head. It was like... a snake biting me. A dagger ripping through my very soul itself. Then, the weird feelings settled in.

He guided us back to Pennyslvania, and told us things about how it works, what we should do, what the limits are. Should we ever leave Sirius, it'll disconnect, the side effects being dizziness and lack of focus-... Ugh - I just--... I just can't process this. It's... weird. It feels weird. 'Talking' over it is weird. He sounds so normal, I understand him. We tried 'sending' memories over to each other as practice... It just drains my energy.

This is so damn weird. It's... not fine -...

What with the events occurring in New London and Newcastle, it's becoming somewhat clear to me. Ideas are forming in my mind, speculations are to be made. With the recent acquisition of some Azurite A6 - I've ordered the research teams to some experimentation with it, particularly with our... prisoner subjects.

I've ordered them to study the effects of Azurite on plasma based systems, how it reacts with elements, and for them to apply it in a reactor process and how it can help contain and capture the energy flow through a regulation system. We already know it's not the same as Copper Azurite. It seems to have this chemical tendancy to attach to objects, corroding when left exposed for long enough. Could work well as a radioactive absorbment.

Concering the Nomads and their appearances, I've been speculating that they have been testing their way of 'Jumping' into systems, creating their own wormhole anomaly to transgress across the stars. Me and Erzie have been guessing it's connected to a theory that we call the White hole theory.

Scans from the structure reveals that the gravitational fields around it are fluctating, spouts of energy seems to flow out of the singularity point, still maintaining a connection to the other end of the anomaly. However, it seems to be the pinpoint of the connection, the gravitational field being so highly concentrated to one point, implying it's only one way. This was more pravalent during the New London occurrence. Effectively, they use the strings of space like a sheet of paper and fold it in the middle, creating the hill, they then 'penetrate' this hill, to create a linkage. This could also explain why other stellar anomalies were dragged along.

Now, to think about as to why they're doing this? Testing? Poking to see our true defence? Perhaps. Experimentation? Maybe. to scare? Another possiblity. They did indeed show off their new evolution of the Marduk.

Concerning analysis, whilst I have gone over the data myself I have ordered Gene to get the science team on the case too. So, about 40 people working on this as a collaboration, and from the data that they've explained to me, my speculation could be nearing accuracy, some of them even agreed with me.

The rocks that contained the Azurite samples, which were rare as a turtles turd, also contained some answers, as it absorbed some of the background radiation from where it came from, and the formation of the rock seemed to be slightly hindered from the gravitational pull. At closer inspectation, some of the atom arrangements were more compressed compared to some other pieces. It's possible they used the Azurite rocks as a natural suppressant for any dangerous amounts of energy or radiation from building up and creating something even more dangerous to the surrounding environment.

Hm. We'll see where we can go with these samples, we have plentiful of resources for experimentation.

As for me.

Back to meditating and learning. Chris is still worried about me for 'overworking' or something. Blergh. Whatever. I convinced him to go to sleep instead. Oh well, I can go look for Ori to help me find appropriate records and books of study on the 'Eido.

...Urgh.

Incompetence strikes me. It's angering me. It's annoying me.

I had to temporarily cease medication for quite some time, due to some experimentation that I, well, had Chris with.

All I can feel is this insanitable hunger for someone's harm. Just to go out. And insert my hand in to one's heart, to rip it out, to crush it.

After the minor surgical corrections, the doctors have been thinking I have some mental defects, Gene thinking I'm forming an attachment to that mindshare.

Naive.

I despise incompetence. And I'm beginning to regret to follow Foulke and Stone to these dumb places of social gatherings. Canaria? Fine, I was off-guard. But this? New London? Absolute failure. I could have organised our fleet statistics during that time, instead of nearly dying in the rain!

Whatever. My combat skills in space may be failing me, like that accident that occured last night in Puerto Rico, but at least I still have my wit, and my personal combat skills.

I have to go consult ERIDIAN about... creating implants to ensure... loyalty with some certain indivduals. The Battlefleet was ordered to be on defensive and observational watch. I've had requests from the Science & Research Division to expand their department, as they feel like the provided modules just simply aren't enough to go into depth with their research, as engineering doesn't even provide enough space to larger creations.

But Gene has contacted me concerning the Azurite studies, they have managed to develop what appears to be a simple generator, allowing to operate 300% more efficient than what a generic fusion reactor would do.

Though, it's highly experimental, they have only created a base prototype, which is lacking a lot of parts and resources, and the Eidolon is still under repairs, so no tests will be able to run in the first place.

It's probably going to screw up on first attempt. Oh well. Anyway, the Initiative is curious of the design, so I'm going to send some a few data files concerning the project.

The specific structure from the blueprints was this:

Fusion reactions occur within the main chamber, the source being alien Powercells - as previous tests conducted, they can act as a sturdy catalyst and powersource provided if it done in the right conditions. Magnetic Superconductors are also made use of, to ensure the energy flow is easily manipulated in the main powerlines.

The outputted particle transfers are carefully guided along the control rods to another chamber, where the atom 'cracking' process happens, generating masses of amount of energy for transfer, the energy is then split down a main power grid, transferring to a containment unit, to distribute the output safely, feeding it through multiple channels.

Some issues with the studies involve: Overheating issues in the excess energy produced - the excess energy is also used to assist in keeping the device powered, circling back to the main core.

Resources: Materials involved are extremely expensive and some of it rare.

The catalyst: Two powercells. A depleted one, used as a depleted material, and an active cell, using the other one as a fusion source, as it's depleted state has a more unstable isotope structure, enabling it to act as a catalyst.
The cells are almost unpredictable, rare, and can pose a risk from side effects.

A secondary catalyst that was proposed was neutronic protocells, but it would be less efficient than using the powercells.

Size: The structure takes up a very large amount of space.

Time: Getting the components constructed takes a long time, especially if it's required to be in a certain complex shape.

Beyond all this, I should go check up on my own people. I need to see how training is going along for my future Paladin candidates. I think Foulke is slowly beginning to prove himself, however his mental issues are going to be a impact on his performance.

Questions were being raised, I was wondering what happened to Erzie, and how he was forced into an induced coma. Foulke was also interested in the artifacts of Nauru. So...

I took a little trip to Omicron Delta, see if I can find a few friends and reconnect with them. I left the repairs of the Eidolon in charge with ERI and the Venators. I hope Chris will be fine with me gone for a day or two. I left a note on the coffee table, hope he'll notice it. Oh well.

Anyway, upon reaching Delta, Foulke got too curious of Nauru and attempted a landing. I tried to get him to escape orbit but his ship only just... crashed down in to it.

I'm surprised my brain didn't implode upon... uh... joining theirs. It tingled a little, but, all was well.

I suppose it went well. I learned about Reena, a younger morph that intended to learn about Humans, and who found their elders very 'boring' - a very interesting perspective on them.

Well, I still think they're still quite autonomous. Eh. I am unsure how to feel about them. We'll see what fate will show me.

Met up with Ruby Hydra, we had a nice conversation together. Though, what striked me the most was the fact that most of the veterans were gone. Rayne is missing, Holt is missing and Daniels is missing. Ruby is now a Guildkeeper, which is kind of funny to think about it, yet saddening at the same time. To see that the Core is only filled with simpletons like Bryon Hall, is really disappointing.

Anyway. I asked her to do a favour for me, I asked her to allocate a patrol to find Foulke in the desert, so - all in all, not too bad. She really missed the old squad that we had going, though I did propose to her that we could try to track down the squad and probably have a coffee sometime.

so, we caught up a little, and she told me about how her violent tendencies are returning, which I noticed when she went absolute batcrap at some Morphs near the Freeport. To my expectations, she did indeed destroy all of the little Nomads. Guess she still has the kicks.

Besides having some small talk about Nomads and that weird Obelisk vision with Hans and Ruby, there really wasn't anything notable that we did.

Met Battlecruiser Kongou. The, uhm, Captain is interested in ... going against Humanity's hostilites? I guess?

Nothing interesting. They spoke to me about seeing a dream, a dream of Nomads and Order burning Nauru and Alabama, with me in it, shouting out "Justice!" against the Core - Heh. I wonder what drug they took? Who knows, maybe I will side with the K'Hara in the end.

But that's unlikely.

Anyway, the Captain wanted to upgrade their Battlecruiser with... Nomad Remains? Which is... Whatever. I don't really care. It'll probably do nothing and get them killed.

Either way, the conversation was quite boring. They really don't know what they're doing, and nor do I want part of it. Even if they claim to be in a Mindshare - which is a load of turtle crap. No one would openly announce it like that. Subject is a minority, no need to observe this one.

Encountered Talender today, apparently Erzie's state is still the same. Trapped. In stasis.

His brainwave activities are always on the high, and his biology hasn't changed. It's quite weird, but, I can only hope that he pulls through. Supposedly the Order are creating some kind of antidote for him, but I have disbeliefs about that. I gave some medical supplies to Vi to assist him, hopefully. It was the neural blockers that we ususally get issued to combat the Nomads. Unfortunately, ionstorms occurred and my audiotracker bugged out.

ENTRY: Another Day

Another casual day huh?

Seems like the infested forces are going to be hot on my trail. Apparently they /literally/ want to use me as a means to get closer to Erik? Uh? I don't know why they wish to infest him, especially if he's under heavy guard. Makes me happy I brought two droids along to guard me. Funnily enough, it showed me an image of Omicron Mu being invaded by thousands of Marduks, the Order's defences being useless - and some kind of 'shaking' super weapon, showing blinding light incoming from outside of the system, Akabat being demolished to billions of pieces.

Maybe it was hinting to that... thing that I saw from Anu a month ago? That giant... generator thing. The City... It looked way too similar...

Either way, I had an opportunity to test out my modified neuralband again. This subject is a Scorpion, 'Medusa' - the one which I had encountered many times before.

Beside that minor incident, I managed to collect a few trophies in my spare time, then I managed to get the uplink running to Foulke, with some assistance from a ol' buddy on the Freeport.

Hm. I cannot process what else I need to achieve at this moment, but for now, I shall meditate and catch up on my rest. Hopefully Foulke will pull through.

ENTRY: Lesser Mentality

Oh my stars. My head. I have never felt something like this in an eternity.

Locklear had apparently punched me unconscious, which would explain the neck and head pains. Well, medical had stabilised me in terms of mentality. Apparently they think I was in shock which had triggered my - uh - mental condition, and felt withdrawal from my medicine? Eh.

Who knows.

Back to work I guess. I'm being closely monitored though, and rightly so.

Well. Me and Joshua Hunt hanged out for a long while, and we spoke together about our history, and read out a piece of our diaries to each other. He's an interesting individual, yet, with a dark history. I think his mind is lost within a cave of darkness, yet he needs someone to guide him out of there. He seeks redemption, and wants to fix his wrong, as empathy is slowly beginning to grow to him. It's hard to generate an opinion of him though. Kind of funny to see two paranoid individuals trying to get along.

Ah well.

I await for him at Curacao's orbit to go out to dinner at Luxury Liner Shetland, as he offered. Perhaps I can analyse him more there. However, I still fatigue from my 103 hour session of being conscious, that rest from last night didn't appear to help very much.

We'll see what fate has in stock for us. However, I think my lack of consciousness is slowly writtling away my control.
