I agree with orin. The order needs to churn out ships quickly to recover losses, and they do not have a luxury of infinite resources either (although I will agree that the order is well funded, the purse just isnt bottomless). Anything the order uses must be utilitarian and quick to assemble.
Take the Anubis for instance. It has a liberty cockpit which I bet you can bulk order since the defender does get sold to suitable civilians. The rest of the design is very boxy and very "I can be built in a hanger by the deck crew".
Simply put the order does not have time for 'style'. They have a job to do.
Guys! this is just a .bmp top view, rough draft based off of the initial painting by stewcool,
I'm gonna be working on this, don't *over* criticize me on my first few sketch-ups.
and... 'o.0 @ NEXUS, 'I can be built in a hangar by the deck crew'.
is that why they're so pathetic?
It isn't "over-criticism"... -_- It doesn't match the Order's style. It will save a lot of time and effort to start with a rough draft that fits... rather than taking it and hoping to be able to adapt it.
I'm beginning work on a side view, then I'm going to take it into Blender to lay over it with vertices and edges and synthesize the model out of this, then I can rough together some 'Order' pieces to make it match, okay?
