Who agrees with sanctions with evidence they can't see?
Like I said earlier on skype, if everyone is going to claim the moral high ground, someone actually needs to be on it
I believe the second point should read something along the line of "should additional provisions be necessary they will be discussed at a later time in a transparent format"
If the bans were according to bans in the past - as in ... the violations similar, equal or worse than from any other member resulting in the same penalty - they are just.
If however these members were held to a higher standard - resulting in harsher penalties for violations other common members had not been punished equal or as harsh - they are unjust.
Just as easy as that. I am sure no one is calling for double standards - one way or another.......
Not only is this the active majority of Discovery's development team, it's a only the portion that this course of action was discussed with. You may expect to see additional names pop up on the list, as @Geoffacake has.
- The motivation behind the post.
This is not a revolt, an idle threat, or an act of hate against Discovery. The developers listed in the original post feel that their work is threatened by the actions of the current administration and have thus taken action. This is being done for our love of Discovery, plain and simple.
- Term two.
The point of the second term is to make the admin team aware that additional demands may be made by the development team depending on what we find. Much as they are unable of knowing what those terms will be, we're unable to make them without knowing the reasons behind their decision.
I hope that clarifies things for you. I'll keep this thread updated (including the original post with more names as long as they come in) and address people's concerns.
A Somewhat expected and awaited move by the Devs or a specific portion of the dev team. I'm rather certain this will have a good impact on the whole situation.

But this is honestly the stupidest thing I've ever seen or have read...
Dev's, ones that do this on their own time and work on their own time...
Are revolting because they can't have the admin evidence, that in the end might just cause more crap...
I mean, usually you'd of been in your right to demand such...
But after the DDoS, the threating of lifes, the crap thats happened, this honestly holds little to no water anymore against the countless other posts that have been put up, seeing other chats, this honestly holds little water because its just another
"HEY LETS REVOLT AND HOPE FOR THE BEST" thing...good luck I guess
You obviously can't see the full picture. As Jack said, you cannot be possibly creative or be motivated to work when you're surrounded by lies and shadow non-explained actions from other staff members from another department. Trust is an essence for an understanding community, and at this point neither the community nor this portion of the Devs share this trust for the administration team.
If your demands were applied to every sanction, I'd agree.
But if your demands are applied to only these 6 guys, because of their standing and number of friends in the dev team, I'd demand that this be demanded for all sanctions.

Shizune, the devs aren't mandated to work on the game any more than the admins are to provide people with transparency. It's only now that they've decided to ask for one in return for the other.
Unless you're seriously suggesting that the devs should continue to work on things regardless of losing their passion, drive, and motivation to do so, then I can't really see where you're coming from.
