- Pulse (EMP) Mines
- Flak Mines
- Ionic Emitter Mines (create a bunch of artifacts that crash the server)
- Big Bang Mines (spawns and launches 100 Nova Torpedoes in random directions)


Really, I have one idea that actually works.

- Flashbang Mine

Generates a series of bright flashes over 5 seconds upon detonation, blinding everyone in the area and allowing someone to escape or get out from under heavy fire.

Cool idea, but there may be coding limitations. I don't think we'd ever be able to remove the HUD display for example. So when you're hit with a flashbang, just fire CDs at your target, keep on firing, and wait for the effect to go away.

In this case, could something be made with this flashbang mine, that would take away the power of every ship near the explosion?
I experienced that once your shield is down, and you get hit, you loose energy, so perhaps this can be made? (Honestly, i don't expect that it could be made without SC:P)

Let' forget the craziest one for the moment, but EMP mines seems very easily doable, what with only shield damage, quite good an idea.
Next, we can have a generation of mine ship; they would have weaker weaponry for a mine slot or two of more.

and we can call it blowship because (SPOILER!) TCD in right time is nightmare for every single mine spammer :)

How about instead of a mine - a 'mine' cargo? you drop it from your hold in space and if some sucker tractors it in they take damage depending on how much they tractored...

it does sound doabale and is a great idea and a realistic one thumbs up

Heh, for the flashbang effect you could use a sun's light, Its pretty bright, If the one in omega 11 was very bright (If you look at it, it fills the whole screen.) you could use that.

but hey, I dont know, im just a player.

I know it's a bit of a gravedig, but would it be possible to create disruptive mines (and of course add mine hardpoints to transports) and make it possible to deploy them while in cruise.
That would be great if you're chased and you drop a lot of these mines:)
